Arbor Manor Assisted Living Community

My wife is in Arbor Manor Assisted Living Community. It's a good place. I hadn't had anything that was negative. It's all been positive. I'm on a first-name basis with my wife's nurses. If I'll call them, and they'll be busy, they'll call me back. We have a friendship that you don't have in a lot of places. I know there have fish every Friday, and everybody likes that. They have eggs and bacon for breakfast. They have a hearty breakfast in there, and everybody seems to be enjoying their food. The facility is always clean. It's a very professionally run place. They got a big old television in there where they all sit and lounge there. Normally when I go visit my wife, and the weather permits, we go outside on the patio and visit. But now they are locked down, and I haven't seen her for about three weeks. But I know she's in a good place, and they're taking care of her. I know she's safe and clean.

The staff member that I met at Arbor Manor was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. They were very organized when it comes to the diet plans of their patients. They've revamped and made improvements to the actual structure because it was previously owned by someone else. The room sizes are very large compared to other assisted living communities. However, they have carpets all throughout, which I don't think is very practical, because some of the residents have incontinence issues. Other than assisted living, they also have a memory care area that is locked down. They have planned activities for the patients and they serve three meals with snacks available throughout the day. The assistant manager is a nurse but is also a cook, so they fluctuate between different positions, and the patient to staff ratio is good. Housekeeping is provided and if someone needs more cleaning in a particular room, they also do that. They try to do everything that the residents need. I like that they have security surveillance cameras focused on the hallways of the rooms, so if someone is uninvited they can go back to that footage with the family.

We really liked Arbor Manor. It's a relatively new facility. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to care about everybody. Everything seemed nice and clean, and the rooms were nice.
