"My grand mother stays at Pike Manor. She is happy and well cared for. She has even made some friends. It is a private care facility and so obviously much better than state ran facilities. The staff are friendly and know all about your family member. They know when they ate and keep up with their daily care so well. I love that they post on FB updates and events. They really try to make it nice for the residents. I am not the caretaker but I know the relieved they are knowing she is well cared for and safe. Thank you for all you do!"

"My mother was at this nursing home for almost a month before she passed away. It was close to where I live. I think they've done a good job. "

"The Woods was very nice. Everyone we talked to and ran into was excellent. They were friendly and very accommodating. I don't have any complaints whatsoever. They did everything they could to show us around and make us feel comfortable. The rooms were good, clean, and had nothing really wrong with them, except the kitchenette was quite small. The grounds were well-kept. We went in the back where there's a little, comfortable place where you could sit outside. From what I’ve seen, I would definitely recommend them. "

"My momma is at Country Gardens Assisted Living and we like it. It is local and we know the people there. Momma does not have any type of dementia or anything like that, so what she needs is very minimal care like help with her daily things. She has progressed from having to use a bedside potty to be being able to get herself into a wheelchair and take herself to the bathroom and go from the wheelchair to the commode without assistance. Of course, she eats and sleeps well. She does not have to have assistance going to the dining room, she can roll her own wheelchair. The only reason she is in the wheelchair is because she can't put weight on her foot. But other than that, she needs help getting her clothes out of her closet because she can't reach up. But she found a way to put her own clothes on. I go there every day and get her clothes and I bring them home and wash them myself. They have a good facility there, but momma just sometimes has an accident or two just because she waits before she goes and sometimes she has an accident, and she prefers for us to take care of her laundry rather than them. Their food can go from good to excellent. Momma has not complained one bit. She is an excellent cook so if anybody were to complain it would be her. We have not found them be anything but pleasant for us. The staff is excellent. Where we live in rural Georgia, they cannot afford to hire BSRNs or anybody on that skill level, but what we have gotten is exactly what my Momma needed. And we have home health care. She was dismissed from the hospital with home health care, so they go there to check on her about once a week or so. Her physical therapist and the LPN are with the home health care. They're keeping a record of her blood pressure and everything like that so that her doctors will have a good record of that. Her room is a studio, she has a bedroom with a small siting area, a closet and a personal bathroom. They have a beauty salon and I have seen some books there, although we give momma her own books just because we know her taste. She does not use the library there. They have a big sitting area so all the residents can sit together and watch TV. It is hard with Covid, but they have some groups to come in for music and they do have some devotional groups. I know our church takes devotional books to the assisted living and I know a lot of the residents really enjoyed those. They do everything we need. They have long hallways that are easy for the residents to get out into the hall and can definitely accommodate wheelchairs and other personal devices. It is not crowded. There is ample staff to get the residents who are not as stable as they could be to the dining room and other places. They have a great pavilion out in the back where when the weather is good the residents can sit out. There are some residents who go out of the front porch and just watch. There is a lake in the front. There are plenty of things for them to enjoy. Some of the residents actually get out and walk for miles in a track. I think Covid puts a damper on all the activities. I have known people who have been there outside of Covid and they had tons of activities going on. But it is really difficult in a small facility to have activities going on during this time. I cannot fault them; they did very well for what they have going on. I don't know much about other pricing. I viewed a few sites online and I thought they were either lower than or in line with other places, but that did not have any bearing on where we chose to go. This is local for us. We know the people and we know their reputation and we are glad to get a place there."
