"My mom is in a place called Reliance Healthcare. We have a relative who works there, so she is familiar with the staff and everything, and their staff is awesome. It is a very clean facility. "

"There is one immediate drawback to this place: It's located in a high crime and drug use area; there's a liquor store at the bottom of the hill to one side"”and housing projects to the other. But when you get closer to the facility, it looks like a cute brick house with rockers on the porch and flowering trees outside. Inside on the left are offices; on the right is a sitting room with a big screen TV and good furniture. There are centralized nurses' stations for the 69 beds here"”with only one or two private rooms. There is very little choice about what to eat. And residents don't seem to be taken outside the building for activities much. But on the plus side, it is very clean"”there are rarely odors. There is low staff turnover; the administrator, who is an RN, has been there at least 10 years. And the activities director, who has also been there a long time, is awesome"”always thinking about fun and engaging things to do. The quality of care is great"”there are RNs and LPNs, and even a nurse specifically dedicated to wound care; because there are few beds, they put more time in with residents than at many other facilities. And the administrator takes the time and effort to come out of her office often and monitor the patients. "

"I didn't want to put my mama in any facility but it came to a point where I had to. Since day one these people have treated my mama like family. She loves them so much and they are so good to her. I know she's in the best place for her. The staff and management are amazing!"

"My mom is a resident of Brightmoor Nursing Center. I chose this place because of the cleanliness and the people. I spoke to one of the owners. From what I've seen, they do not use temporary help, everybody there is employed. It's a much better environment than where she was previously. Here in Brightmoor, they kept the food heated. The big rolling container keeps it heated, so, when the patients get the food, it's warm."

"We visited Brightmoor. The rooms were clean, not worn out, and well-cared for. There were 2 people to a room. The buildings were clean and well-kept; there were not a lot of grounds, but it was well-kept. There were plants and flowers in places, and they were pretty. The staff was nice, informative, and interested in her job."

"I recently visited Heritage Inn of Barnesville with my son and other members of the 4-H club from his school. Upon our arrival I immediately noticed that most of the residents seemed to be fairly happy and I was surprised that I did not see any residents that suffered from Alzheimers or dementia, like I have witnessed when visiting other nursing homes. I was there for only a short while when I realized the reason for this was because the facility has a separate unit for Alzheimers patients. Out of curiosity I decided to walk over to the alzheimers wing. Although the staff seemed to be handling the residents with the upmost respect and the best care they could possibly provide, the unit was extremely chaotic and loud. The residents were confused and many of them were agitated and angry. It definitely takes a special person to be able to effectively perform his job in an environment such as this and keep a positive attitude. The nurses were very professional and I could tell that this was not a professionalism brought on by the fact that a visitor was watching. It was genuine. I only feel that there should have been more housekeeping staff dedicated to this wing because, as I learned , demented residents can be very messy and disorderly at times. As a whole the nursing home seemed to be doing a good job taking care of the residents there. The place was fairly clean and the staff was welcoming and professional. "

"My mother, Betty T. is a resident in this facility. The help is wonderful, and the workers really take good care of their patients. It made me feel good that I can leave and go back to my home in California , and know that my mother would be well taken care of. The rooms are good. The food is good. I can honestly say that my interaction with the Staff is great. My sister and I are extremely thrilled with how the operation at the home is. Especially thankful for Sharon T. and her love for the patients. Church is provided for the patients. There is a nice place where you can take your loved one out and sit and talk and just relax. Mom is content, and that makes me relax. I think maybe what can improve is that more CNA's to be hired . Meaning, so the nurses could have less stress on them. I appreciate the nursing staff , and the folks who helped us to get my mom in there. My sister Hannah and I are very grateful for the good care she gets."

"2 days ago I visited this facility and a older man seemed ok mentally begged me to use my cell phone. I asked him to try and relax and the nurse responded he’s fine. He said young lady I’m not fine . But I had no choice So but to walk away but my heart is broken. So if you have a brother .. father.. uncle in this awful home go check on him. It’s heartbreaking seeing one of our elders crying and begging for help and feel helpless for fear of getting yourself in trouble for helping them. Do some research on the owners of this facility. "

"We chose Heritage Healthcare because my daughter worked there at that time. So we felt a member of the family would see her every day. My mother's been there for over a year now. I just don't feel like they pay that good of attention to the people's needs. Although some of the people there seem really nice. But I'm still looking for something up. "

""Molena Nursing Home" is no longer the name of this facility. It is now Molena Extended Care. Molena NURSING HOME was a wonderful place to have a family member, as it was family owned and operated, but the place seemed to have lost that loving, family-like atmosphere that it was known for while it was family owned and operated. "I toured Jonesboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was a rehab center that offered PT and OT, but they did not accept my loved one because of his chest tube. The rooms were very nice. They had semi-private and private rooms. They had windows and they were very open. The facility was very nice and very clean. The staff who gave the tour seemed to be very knowledgeable. They have a dining area where patients would eat, and if they couldn't go, they would go to their rooms and serve them there."

"My sister stayed at Harborview Health Systems of Thomaston. I didn't like anything about it. My sister didn't get a bath there. The staff were mostly bad, but there was one nice person. My sister's room was very old and used-looking. They neglect the patients. She was in diapers at the time because she couldn't get up, and they didn't change her. The food was usually cold when she got it. They need to provide better care for the patients. I would go up there to the front desk, and they would be sitting there using their phones and ignoring the patient's light, which is bad."
