"My mother-in-law is at Fort Valley Health and Rehab which is an older nursing home. The staff is excellent and very good. They have entertainment and Bingo, and the food is excellent."

"The facility was like most facilities that I have visited. Although many of the patients were sent to hospitals rather than properly checked out by nurses. Seemed like the nurses did not want to deal with the patients. The doctor for the home seemed the same way; did not want to spend time working with the patients individually. But overall, the facility was clean and most patients seemed happy. The facility is not located in the best location but it is close to a hospital, which is nice. The staff was nice to talk to, and most patients did not have negativitiy towards them. "

"Coliseum Rehabilitation Center was very nice, and the rehab department was excellent. I was able to choose the meals that I want, but I would mark one thing and they would bring me something different. The menu was very appealing, but I was on a special diet and I could not have certain things. The food was always tasty, and I really didn't object. "

"My husband wasn’t in Rosewood that long. I put him in at about 5 o’ clock in the evening and stayed there with him till about 9:00, and then I left and went home. Then I came back because somebody called me and said, “You need to come out here. Your husband had fell out of bed.” He even fell down twice. I told them that they had to put rails on the bed, if he does fall out of bed. He goes in a long way off by himself -- no rails on the bed, and nobody there to check on him, so I took him out that morning. The room was fine. They just didn’t have any rails on the bed, and they didn’t have him close enough where they could watch or monitor him. The staff seemed OK. When you talk to them, they are nice, but they are all ready to deny everything when something happens. "

"My mother has been in PruittHealth (The Oaks at Peake) for 30 days. It has been a great place for rehab. They have done a great job looking after my mother. Her room is a double occupancy. It's a nice, semi-private room with a closet and drawer for their clothing. Each person has her own TV on a swivel arm, so they're able to watch their own TV and control their own volume. The food is very good. They have a nice, spacious dining area. It is nothing fancy, but it's nice and clean."

"The Carlyle Place facility is exceptional quality. The moment that my team and I arrived, there were staff members to greet us and give us a guided tour. It is a nursing home and assisted living center. The entire venue is immaculate and all of the staff are friendly and smiling. There are great activities for the residents to be involved in like swimming, water aerobics, arts and crafts, live music in the living room, and a full service cafe. They even have a room that can be rented out for holidays, so the residents and their families may have a private dinner together. Volunteering at Carlyle Place was easy and a lot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone who lives in the area! "

"My dad is in Atrium Health Navicent Rehabilitation Hospital for rehab. We chose it because other veterans and friends recommended it as being the best place for him. Physical therapy and occupational therapy have been consistent. I don't like that children can't visit these seniors in the courtyard outside. I don't think it's nice for these grandparents, especially someone with dementia, to look at their grandchild through a glass window. It was appalling and it had upset him. Outside of physical therapy and occupational therapy, he's sitting in his room alone. I went in there one day and he was sitting in a wheelchair in the hallway so they could keep an eye on him. That's not OK with me. One time, my dad managed to get past the receptionist and the security guard on his wheelchair, and he went rolling right on out to the parking lot till they caught him. They have vending machines and other things, which are convenient. They have several courtyards, which is nice. They have several gyms and they have several different methods of working with the residents. The physical therapists were outstanding. The whole place was very, very clean."

"My sister is in the memory ward of Advanced Health and Rehab of Twiggs County. They don't keep up with things too well, but I haven't had major issues yet. The rooms are sufficient. She's in a double room, and there are two beds in there and a television. It's just a basic room and she's got a closet and drawers on her side. It's kept pretty clean. They were jumping around, dancing and singing along with the music while I was there, and there's a piano as well. They have an activities director."

"My father is at Zebulon Park Health and Rehabilitation. I really like the place very much. It's on the level of assisted living. It's a beautiful place. It's very, very clean. The staff is wonderful. I have absolutely no complaints about that place at all. My father is in hospice care. They're very friendly and very caring. With regards to activities, they offered my father something like bingo, which they thought that maybe he could participate in, but he's not well enough. I saw activities when I passed their common areas where they're doing activities, and there seemed to be a lot of participants. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It's kind of expensive because he needs such a high level of care being under hospice, but it actually ended up being cheaper for us because when he was at assisted living he had to have sitters, and that was $500 a day cost for sitters, and that was really, really expensive. As far as nursing homes go, it's a little bit higher, but for us, I think it's a very good value."

"The Oaks is overall a good quality facility for the elderly. The facility is not very large, but big enough to accommodate their needs. It is located in a great area in the country--so the residents can sit outside and have a good breath of fresh air and view the countryside. The staff was always very attentive to the residents. My great-grandmother was never neglected or mistreated by the staff. The rooms are on the smaller side but the bathrooms are plenty big for those who can't move around very easily and for the handicapped. The Oaks provides an ample amount of activities for the residents to participate in. They also have an on-going calendar of events where people come and entertain the residents. Whenever I went there to sing, many of the residents came out to listen and participated. They always seemed content and happy. My great-grandmother was there for about a year and then left to go live with her daughter because of extensive physical problems. But her stay there was enjoyable. "

"My mother is a resident at this facility even though she has only been there a short time I have been very pleased with the care she is receiving. After touring many facilities this was above and beyond what the others had to offer. I would recommend this facility to anyone considering having to make this decision. "

"The staff at Bryant Health & Rehab doesn't change our dad's diaper as quickly as we prefer when he uses the bathroom. But other than that, everybody is friendly, and he seems comfortable and likes the food. Overall, it's a good place. The staff seems to care, and it didn't have the nursing home atmosphere that a lot of other places do."
