"I think Almaden Health & Rehab Center is a good place. I don’t really have any complaints. My mother’s complaints would probably be that a lot of the staff doesn’t speak English very well and do not understand what she’s saying. When she says that she needs something, they touch everything to see what she’s talking about. I would say that the care she is receiving is good. The community seems very clean. I don’t think you can really help the food. When you’re on a certain kind of diet, it can be boring. "

"I was in the care of Stonebrook for 10 days after a cervical antiorior/posterior neck operation. I arrived late at night and the first person I met was Lucille. She was like a gift from heaven. So kind and so soothing. Then there was Tammy from the kitchen. I'll never forget the kindness she showed me. I was dying for ice cream and she went out of her way to get me some. She didn't have to do that. All the nurses I had were great and the Physical Therapy people were awesome. They were also fun to work with. The only thing I didn't care for was the food. Oh, I should also mention this facility was very, very clean.... like a brand new place. The room I had was very comfortable and the temperature was just right."

"Terraces is a life care community, and the minimum entrance fee was $486,000. The presumed advantage was they have assisted living, independent living, memory care, and facility for skilled nursing. However, there was also a hefty monthly charge, and if you need assisted living or skilled nursing, you have to move to a different part of the campus and pay for an additional unit. It seemed that financially, it didn’t make a lot of sense. The thing that was good was it’s a lovely facility, and the apartments were exquisite. But, they had a waiting list of one year. "

"Vasona Creek was clean, and the rooms were OK. The staff members was just doing their jobs, and I guess they were friendly. "

"We were referred to Willow Glen by the hospital and we chose it because it was by our house. The staff was excellent. They were very good. My father was in a shared room. It was very clean and large. My father really liked the food there because they would give him the menu and if he didn't want something, he would just cross it off and they would give him other options, i.e., cheeseburger or sandwich, so he would just write in what he wanted. The food was very good. He really liked the food. He could eat in his room or in the dining area. The dining room was big and nice. They did have activities, i.e. church services on Sunday, but my father didn't really like to go to activities. What I like best about this facility was that it was very clean and friendly. I would recommend this facility to others. "

"My mother is in the Camden PostAcute Care in Campbell. My first impression is that it is a converted motel because it looks like an old motel. Other than that, it looks like it's well-kept, clean, and tidy inside. I think the staff is doing an okay job from what they tell me, although my mom claims that she's not getting showered enough there. They give my mom therapy two or three times a week. The dining area and the food look really good. My mom gets served hot food and coffee there, and it looks very good."

"Awesome staff, clean rooms, compassionate nurses and cna's..timely answering of call light..Good and productive rehab therapy..very clean and homelike environment..Nurses are well trained and knows what they are doing "

"When I was there I felt the people there were very compassionate and have great bedside manner. The nurses were great at comforting us especially since our Grandma did not have a great chance at surviving as said by the doctor. The facilities I would rate were very clean, they were washed daily, every time I would visit the place seems spotless and the place was always busy with nurses carrying out their tasks. When looking at other patients there they seem to have a good experience, all the patients looked comfortable, many of them had plenty to do there was a tv room, piano, even ping pong tables, the elders that stayed here had plenty to do. But the best experience I had was when my Grandma and Grandpa finally passed away,they were so respectful when our family surrounded our Grandpa before he finally passed into the next life. Some complaints that I had though is that so of them are somewhat rude and also very blunt about information as well as they can take a long time to return your calls, but the pros clearly outshine the cons. "

"I saw Los Gatos Meadows for my mother. It was a pretty setting and close to downtown. There was a very walkable neighborhood around it. The director who showed me around was very personable and sensitive to our needs and what we were looking for. This facility was well-kept. It definitely seemed like a really nice place. If I could afford it, it would have been very nice. It was the priciest place I saw. "

"White Blossom Care Center is OK. They know how to do their jobs, and the quality of the work is performed as expected. The people are very nice. They have physical therapy as well as a medical team. The staff is very good. The food is OK but nothing fancy. There are activities available for people who want to participate in them. "
