"White Blossom is a surprisingly nice facility from the looks of things. Prior to visiting my grandfather, I had thought that most of these facilities would be drab and depressing. It was quite the opposite. The decor was bright and lively, the patients were out and about doing things, and the staff was cheerful. The building had several large common areas that were connected to the rooms where patients can sit and get fresh air and talk to one another. They even have a valet parking service. The rooms themselves were fairly large, but my grandfather's in particular was shared with two other people. I don't know if the home places patients based on personalities, but the other patients in my grandfather's room were of similar types, and they got along well. This really helped my grandfather not feel lonely when we couldn't be there for him. The food appeared good, but my grandfather claimed it was inedible. It's a toss-up if this was due to the food, or due to his weakened appetite. The only negative that I would give to White Blossom is that their staff does not want family members assisting a patient with things like visiting the restroom. However, this is understandable, since my grandfather was hooked to an IV at the time. Overall, it was a good place for him to recover in, and I'm sure he wasn't too put off by the experience. "

"We were referred to Willow Glen by the hospital and we chose it because it was by our house. The staff was excellent. They were very good. My father was in a shared room. It was very clean and large. My father really liked the food there because they would give him the menu and if he didn't want something, he would just cross it off and they would give him other options, i.e., cheeseburger or sandwich, so he would just write in what he wanted. The food was very good. He really liked the food. He could eat in his room or in the dining area. The dining room was big and nice. They did have activities, i.e. church services on Sunday, but my father didn't really like to go to activities. What I like best about this facility was that it was very clean and friendly. I would recommend this facility to others. "

"I had been to Plum Tree Care Center twice, and I asked to go back for the second time because I liked it so much. It's a wonderful experience. The help there is wonderful. The nurses, the nurse's aides, and the management people are very caring and timely. The food is great there, and they have a great alternate menu, too. It's all sorts of stuff. If you don't want what they're having, you let them know, no worries. You can also have your visitors come and they charge you $7, but frankly, they never charge me. They said it was okay. Their adult activities I think are great. My second time there was wonderful. We had this entertainer come out and everybody was singing and dancing. If you were in a wheelchair, you did whatever in your chair, whether you were spinning around or clapping on your hands. The other thing they had that's really good, Monday through Friday, starting at 9 a.m., they had coffee and refreshments in the dayroom. And then around 3:30, they would start with these adult exercises and they're all for people that were seated. They put on whatever kind of music we want on the big screen TV. And then after about 45 minutes or an hour, we switched over to doing leg races, marching in place, and arm circles that most people, even though they're in a rehab facility, could probably do and that's wonderful. A couple of afternoons a week they would have bingo with prices. They would play blackjack, and because some people are visually impaired, the cards are about the size of a sheet of computer paper. Most of the rooms have two people. They have two courtyards, too. Some of the rooms have a very nice view because you're looking out into the courtyard. People go out to the courtyard all the time except when I was there the second time, we had all those days of terrible rain every single day, so we didn't get out there very much. Any day the sun was shining, they would offer to take us out there. They had a woman that came in there once a week to do hair. They also would do your laundry. "

"Awesome staff, clean rooms, compassionate nurses and cna's..timely answering of call light..Good and productive rehab therapy..very clean and homelike environment..Nurses are well trained and knows what they are doing "

"My name is Frances I needed rehab due to left side being partially paralyzed. Stonebrook was home for over two months. I had been in a SNF before so I was nervous but the second I entered, it was clean and modern lots of decoration. Huge activity room full of patients interacting a full hair salon. The medical care I received was phenomenal. Call lights answered quickly any staff member seeing the light comes in and offers help!!! Unheard of administrater to housekeeping offering to help or get someone who could. REHAB greatest no exageration they taught how to work with what you are given with minimal amount of pain. The facility is awesome it is fully equipped for occupational therapy complete with steps, kitchen and bathroom. Therapists push you to the point where you think you can't go further but they know whats best and amazing. Food yes its a SNF but they go out of the way to make sure you are satisfied with taste, texture and pute nutrition shout out to Leng who visited every day to assure my diabetic cardio diet exceeded standards. The entire staff is like family. I love you Stone brook thank you for everything. "

"We didn’t choose Lincoln Glen Manor because it's not a secure place. The residents can't go out and walk around the garden. They had beautiful gardens, and they had a dog park; it's very nice. But when you're in assisted living, they don’t allow you to walk by yourself. They had orchestra coming in and a big grand piano. It was very high class, and it wasn’t for my mom. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and very clean. "

"My mother went to Skyline, and it was very good. The staff was good and took care of her pretty well. They had doctors and were open to meetings with family members. "

"Amberwood Gardens is the only one available. Actually they were talking about having to look at the Central Valley area to places we would never be able visit my dad. They were releasing him, but they could not release him back to his home. This facility is the first one that came up. The staff was incredibly kind and caring. They seem to enjoy their job. They have been great. They have kept in contact with my sister who is the primary contact. We have no complaints as far as being kept abreast. I try to visit my dad almost every other day, and the facility always looks clean. I'm pleased with that aspect for sure. "

"I think Almaden Health & Rehab Center is a good place. I don’t really have any complaints. My mother’s complaints would probably be that a lot of the staff doesn’t speak English very well and do not understand what she’s saying. When she says that she needs something, they touch everything to see what she’s talking about. I would say that the care she is receiving is good. The community seems very clean. I don’t think you can really help the food. When you’re on a certain kind of diet, it can be boring. "

"I was required to volunteer in this nursing facility for community-based learning at my university (Santa Clara University). I visited with residents every Friday afternoon to socialize with them and help complete afternoon activities; these mostly consisted of arts-and-crafts-type things, like making Valentine's Day cards and decorating pillows. The residents were mostly very nice and seemed content and satisfied with their services. I also helped serve afternoon snacks and participated in trivia games with residents. Every staff member I met with was kind and patient, and seemed to generally care about the residents. The facility itself was fairly nice, modest in decor, but seemed to contain all necessary amenities to make residents feel comfortable and at home. There were a large number of nurses always milling around; no one resident ever seemed to be left without care. Overall, it was a good experience for me and was in a prime location to either walk or bike from my school, which was important in my enjoyment of working there. "

"Everything was very nice about the Terraces. The only thing wrong was that they didn't have enough of the little single houses. It's very well run, and I was treated very nicely. I like them. I looked at a lot of places, and it certainly is the top. "

"As you pull up the driveway you notice space. Most others are crammed right up to the street. Feels expansive. The fountain in the front. Old people outside that are visiting with family or getting a little exercise wheeling about. Family member staying there. The whole place is bustling with energy. You can feel the positively encouraging voices of the staff. People everywhere in various states of healing. Susan C. and Juana are on the spot, patiently giving great care. You can check out many other places but I doubt you will find better. Family member has been for 2 days and already significant improvement."

"We visited Los Gatos Meadows, and it is in a good location. Very nice staff and exquisite dining room. We tried the food and it was good. The price is high for the units."
