This facility is truly serving the residents with the best care, personal dignity and protection of resident rights through outstanding medical care and understanding of the person as a “whole person” in need of advocacy when suffering through declining health issues. I feel my loved one is really being treated as a person and not just another patient coming from a hospital. Thank you to your wonderful Doctor and team of caregivers. My loved one is now thriving, smiling and able to love and be loved by her family again. Bless you all! You understand!

My mom was a resident, she really declined after COVID, my concern with this facility is after a recent hospitalization my mom returned with pain meds not ordered, and insulin not ordered both of which my mom had been on for years. After facility reporting mom wasn’t eating, wouldn’t take meds, I began asking about meds, only to find out she had not received either. I insisted the physician be called. For 2 weeks my mom suffered in agony. Trying to get anyone to answer the phone is impossible. I tried calling mom 6 times yesterday to tell her I loved her and was not able to get through. Sadly she passed during the night.

Mom lived in San Tomas since December 2019. The staff of all the departments demonstrate great care and compassion. The staff provide excellent patient services in all aspects. The rooms and bath rooms are always clean. The residents enjoy the activities and in-house concerts a lot. We get updates timely, and the staff are always available for our questions and inquires 24/7-we call a lot. Really appreciate the patience and kindness!! We are truly grateful! Thank you, San Tomas!!

My mom moved into San Tomas Convalescent Hospital. My experience so far is wonderful, the staff is terrific, and it's a nice, clean facility. She's kept busy; they have bingo, TV, and exercises. I saw the food, and there's a lot of variety.

My mother has been at this facility for 9 years. The staff is caring and towards her. I am very grateful to the staff for their loving and tolerant of her behavior which is sometimes irritating and uncooperative. The life of someone bedridden is one of low quality and she reacts to the unfulfilled life, and she suffers from chronic UTI and early Alzheimer’s. They treat her with dignity and kindness.
