"I toured Atria Willow Glen. I liked that one. I would recommend it. It was clean and well-organized. The people that I talked to seemed to be happy. The staff seemed to be well informed. They seemed to work together well. They were all groomed. Their relationship with the patients seemed positive. I liked them. Compared to the other ones I saw, the facility seemed to be clean, well kept, and organized. The outside area where the people were able to walk was a nice park-like area, and it was well-designed. I liked it."

They had a nice outdoor area where people could go. They seemed to have some good activities for them. The rooms looked very comfortable. They had clean bathrooms and windows so that the resident could see outside. The staff was very good and very professional. The dining area was nice and very clean. It felt very comfortable. A lot of the residents were very complimentary about it. They said they enjoy their stay there and they're very happy."

"My wife has moved into Carlton Senior Living San Jose. What I like best is its proximity to our home, so I can go visit her frequently without too much trouble. I have tried some of the food and it's quite good. There are plenty of activities she can participate in while she's there. It looks to be very well maintained inside and out. Everybody I have encountered there has been very pleasant and professional. They have a fairly large collection of books available to residents. Plus, they have movie nights and some other activities. We only looked at a studio because I was looking for the least costly option, but it is a reasonable space for one person to live in. They have a garden and an outdoor patio."

"We toured BridgePoint at Los Altos. I thought that was a good place. If it goes by the price, that's also the most expensive. I think in general, there's some correlation. I thought that their food menu had quite a lot of variety. They had different choices and separate areas. They had a bistro area where they do pizzas and international-themed things, so that was nice in terms of the dining experience. The staff was great and very friendly. The rooms were nicely done, nicely furnished, and very bright and the interior buildings were quite well-lit. It gave a more cheerful feeling."

"I went to Atria Evergreen Valley. I liked it. I have a friend that stays there, so I'm familiar with it. My friend is in independent living. The place was busy because they were about to serve dinner, but the staff took time to walk me around and answer my questions. They have an excellent concierge. They have a very nice and spacious area outside for them to walk. They have walking paths and different areas where they can sit and read. The inside was well maintained. The walls, the carpet, and everything inside were clean. It all looked nice. It seemed like it would make a resident comfortable. I also liked the prices. They were competitive."

"I was at Vi at Palo Alto for rehab. It was so fantastic. It was like being on a cruise. They were wonderful. All the physical therapists, the caregivers were very kind. I had my own room with a great view. The food was fantastic. I was in a wheelchair, but they invited me to the piano. They had a piano. Everybody got together listening to the piano. I'm also a vegetarian. They noticed that I wasn't eating very well, so they asked the nutritionist to talk with me. They were making me special meals of brie sandwiches and all that. They even brought me wine for dinner. The nutritionist, Joanne was a jewel. She came to my room and wanted to know what I would like to eat."

"I toured Carlton Senior Living Fremont for assisted living; however, my husband required a little more attention, so that was one of the reasons why I didn't go through with it. He has Parkinson's, and it has gotten worse. I like the services that Carlton Senior Living is offering. I like their layout, and the staff that helped me was very informative. I also dealt with the cafeteria individuals, and they were very attentive as well. We enjoyed the meal there. You could make little adjustments if you prefer something over another dish or whatever, so it was very good. I like the setup. Everything was spread out. There was a nice courtyard. They started some plantings in the courtyard, and another side where cars were parked. I think they thought of everything for those who can go into their facility and use it."

"My father was in Cogir of Fremont Senior Living for respite. He had a hip replacement and needed a place to recover. They were pretty good. I give it high marks. He enjoyed that facility quite a bit. While we were there on two different occasions, we enjoyed live music. He enjoyed the restaurant sitting with other residents. He made a lot of fast friends and it was very useful for him socially to go out of his room. He spent very little time in his room because he enjoyed just the community. Even though his hip was hurting, he would still get out of his room and go around. That was a very good motivation for him to get up and move. The restaurant staff and the front desk staff were exceptional. They were all very helpful and very friendly. It was a delight for us to interact with them. We chose them because they had onsite physical therapists, but the physical therapist often did not show up or canceled or didn't assist with his hip recovery. It's a third party that they recommend to provide onsite physical therapy services. It's not a problem with Cogir directly. I asked them before I selected them if they had physical therapy, and they said yes. I contacted that person and then it didn't work out."

"Westmont of Morgan Hill seemed to be very clean and very well maintained. They were cleaning the rooms while we were there. Their housecleaning was up to par. We were very pleased with them. However, they turned my mom down because she had a problem they didn't want to be concerned with. Nevertheless, the staff members were very friendly and very knowledgeable. They seemed to care about their patients. It seemed like a good price, too."
