I think Almaden Health & Rehab Center is a good place. I don’t really have any complaints. My mother’s complaints would probably be that a lot of the staff doesn’t speak English very well and do not understand what she’s saying. When she says that she needs something, they touch everything to see what she’s talking about. I would say that the care she is receiving is good. The community seems very clean. I don’t think you can really help the food. When you’re on a certain kind of diet, it can be boring.

I was in Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center for nine months. They manage how much you go out. They bring you food. There's a little space in the room that you share. There's a little closet. The last six months has been a nightmare because my roommate had Alzheimer's. They couldn't shut her up. I couldn't take it. She would drive me nuts and I would start crying. They moved her out two weeks before I left but I could still hear her at the other side of the nursing home. The nurses were good for the most part. I have one that anytime we told him anything, he would start laughing. A couple of the nurses were really good. But some had attitude.
