My mother is in rehab right now at Wesley Gardens so she can get a little stronger. She's only been there a week, and I haven't really had a lot of communication with the therapists or social workers there. I actually have a call into the facility for someone to get back to me regarding her care plan. The staff we've spoken to and have had communication with have all been very friendly and helpful. I haven't had an opportunity to ask my mother about the food, so I don't know about that. Because of COVID, we can't go in. I was in the main building, their reception area, and things looked clean, tidy, and nicely kept. Besides their rehabilitation, it's a nursing home as well. Beyond that, I don't know a whole lot about the facility. The hospital that my mother was at placed her there. It was easy to get to, and there was available parking. Somebody helped me right away. I wasn't waiting at all for any assistance with my mother's personal belongings that I dropped off for her. I haven't had a whole lot of interaction there besides that.

I was a resident for 2 yrs. Could not wait to get out. They evacuated us on Christmas Eve. They sent me from Rochester to Canadaigua. I was not happy. had my Christmas all planned out. My family lives in Rochester. the aides came in and gave me a bag and said put just some clothes in here. Your being evacuated. Every thing was left behind. Now i am glad they did evacuated me.It was an answer to prayer. The aides were lazy and inconsiderate. They sit behind the nurse's station on their phones while lights were going off. i waited one time to get off the bed pan for so long I fell asleep. They were always mad at every thing. They would swear some thing awful. I needed to go to the bathroom and one of the aides told me just go in my pants and would change me later. They said the would reopen in 4 months it has been a year. I got 2 letters from them asking me to come back in April, another in May. They still have not reopened. The worst thing is i have been gone since Dec. 2019 and they are still receiving my SSI checks. I signed papers for where I am now in Dec 2019 to have them sent here. Wesley Gardens has not released them and still cashing them. I am working on this problem.DO NOT SEND any one here

I would never recommend this facility. No hot water, aids don’t care, food is terrible. I feel bad for patients who don’t have a voice, no family members to speak up got their care. It’s so heart breaking. I rated a one but they deserve a minus one.

Where to begin, this place is horrible! My mom was there for about a month and we couldn't wait to get her in somewhere else. The place is filthy, staff other then maybe a handful are lazy and useless. They don't check on residents, it takes forever to get someone to come when needed. When with my mom on several occasions we would wait 40 minutes to an hour for someone to respond to call button- if they came at all. Her room and bathroom were never cleaned unless we did it ourselves.

Absolutely disgusting!!!! One time I rang for bathroom, it took them 2hrs to respond. Nurse sooo sick she shouldn't have been working, she was passing out medication. Physical Therapist was pushing on me first time I stood up, told not to that my foot wasn't on floor. Fell into wheelchair with tears in my eyes he said " do you think I would let you fall with this " he showed me his muscle. Furniture was absolutely filthy! Saw bugs! Only stayed 5 days and can't even remember the rest. Food awful

The people at Wesley Gardens were very nice to me with large and adequate rooms. They seem to have a lot of activities, and the PT people were all friendly. It was satisfactory.
