My husband moved into Chapin Home for the Aging. Im very pleased; theyre very caring. The place is spacious, it has a variety of activities, and I like the staff that they have. Everybody tries to be as helpful as possible given the situation, and on that basis, I would highly recommend it.

The security staff was very helpful in giving directions and helping you find what you need to find in Chapin. It had a big dining room or auditorium where they had events, like people who played music, magicians, and Bible study. It’s very clean, but parts of it are very old and could use updating. The staff engages with the residents.

I had my mom at Chapin for a brief stay until she passed recently and was so happy with he care she, an all of us, received. The staff are totally professional, friendly and compassionate. It is a very difficult thing to have to place a loved one in a nursing facility but Chapin made it as easy as it could be and I am truly grateful for the way my mom was cared for during her last days.

This is one of the best nursing home facilty in the New York City area. My friends mom stayed at this nursing home. She was treated with dignity and respect. The employees at this nursing home were amazing. They were so accomodating and helpful to everyone. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone who needs a referral for a parent, relative or friend.

I felt that the staff was always friendly. Through the last years of my relatives life, the persons working there were caring and sympathetic. The facility was always clean, and they were able to accommodate visitor's special requests.

The home has plenty of things to do for their residences to keep them active and engaged. They have musicians come in to play music, plenty of games for them to play and have various activities going on weekly. Their staff was very friendly and attentative. There was plenty of aids around to help any of the residents who needed it as well as to make sure everyone was safe and accounted for. The residents even have access to computers and can be assisted with writing emails to loved ones etc. The only main issue I saw with the facility was that there was a few problem residents and/or of lower cognitive function which interrupted some of the events for the other residents. Overall it seems like the residents are well cared for and compared to other nursing homes are treated better. This does not appear to be a place you just put people in to die.
