I wish there was a way to give two ratings - one for the staff/caregivers (including the house manager) and one for the house director and the owners. My 95 yo Mom had been a resident here for 7 years. She arrived in initial stages of dementia, wheelchair bound after being unable to follow rehab instructions. The care provided by the staff has been wonderful and unfortunately overshadowed by the director and owners actions. She was kicked out of the facility even though hospice care was describing my Mom as being in “end stages”. In other words she was thought to be in the process of dying and they still kicked her out. The reasons we were given were all things that we were hearing for the first time, and privately being told by the staff that it wasn’t true. We finally heard the real reason - if our mom in her current state was a new resident they would be charging some $1300-$1500 more each month. By law they can’t raise rates like that so their solution is to kick out a fragile old woman who had the nerve to live longer than expected. And she wasn’t the only one they kicked out. As we looked and found a new place the universal reaction is that the house director has a reputation - that’s not good - and shock that she and the owners took this action If you love your family member, don’t put them here. The owners and House Director are not interested in the residents as people but rather as a profit margin. Shame on them. I feel really sorry for the staff - perhaps they’ll come work at the new care home where their opinions and assessments are valued.

My mom moved into Bee Hive Homes of Albuquerque – West. Everyone is very caring, attentive, and it's like being home. All of them were just wonderful. Everything smelled good and looked good. The place was nice.

We already placed my mother at BeeHive Homes, and it is excellent. The food offered is very good, and the staff is very attentive, caring, and very responsive.

When my grandmother and grandfather were unable to take care of themselves the family decided that an assisted living center would be the best situation for them. This decision was not easy, but after visiting them at Beehive Village I felt so much better about the situation. The staff were friendly and loving, and created a familial community. The food is delicious, and prepared fresh by a professional chef. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with lots of light, decoration and a fresh, clean scent. My grandparent's rooms were decorated and cheerful. After just one visit, I knew that my grandparents were in good hands. They seemed to enjoy the company of the other residents and seemed comfortable and content. Assisted living is not always the ideal, but if staying home isn't an option, I would recommend Beehive Village in a heartbeat.
