"We toured Beehive Homes of Bosque Farms' assisted living. They showed us both living arrangements for the assisted and the memory care. They took us into all the buildings and showed us their garden area. It was very nice, very clean, and seemed very organized. They're also very friendly."

"We found our mom a home in Alma Assisted Living. She has been there for a couple of months now. It's a small and privately owned assisted living home with four bedrooms and a couple of people there. So far it is good. They have a nurse that goes there a couple of times a week and a doctor that goes in on weekends to do evaluations. It is not like living in a medical community. It is more like a house with medical help going to the house. They're providing excellent service for my mom. She likes watching TV and she likes eating their meals as far as I know. The rooms are spacious and very homey. They don't feel like you're in a medical facility, they're very comfortable rooms. I would recommend them to others 100%. "

"My mother has been at Little Rose's Board And Care Home for a little while, but so far it's good. It's more like a home. They dispense her medications and provide her three meals a day plus snacks. They take her to the store and where she needs to go. She likes the food. It's affordable for her, but it would be nice if they would provide some activities for them."

"My father-in-law has moved into Sandia Senior Suites. Their patient-to-nurse ratio is lower. The maximum number of patients at the place is 20, which is good for my father-in-law because he needs quite a bit of assistance. It is also locally owned. The owner seems to really know the area, the clientele and the expectations with him like how he wants payment. To communicate with him is very easy. We can text him, we can talk to him and we can call him. How to leave notes for his nurses is very simple, too. He is very kind. When we took the tour with him, he was very open and very clear in communicating both this center's expectations as well as asking us questions in order to get a sense of my father-in-law and his needs. They're very accommodating. For instance, my father-in-law wants a phone but he will not use a cellphone, so he needs a landline. They didn't have a landline, but they were willing to and did put one in just for him, so I thought that was remarkable. The caregivers also cook. Home cooked meals usually appeal to a lot of people as it does to my father-in-law. It is well run. My father-in-law's room is already furnished. He has his own private bathroom. There is also a community shower where they can roll him into the shower. There is no lift on the shower, so that they can roll people who are in wheelchairs into the shower and then get them situated on the chair, which is a lot easier. His room is very clean. He has a window, which he doesn't use but it is important for us. They have television set up for him and chairs for his visitors to sit down in. Well, it is not too big. My father-in-law is incredibly assisted. He has a raised toilet seat, so he has to get help to go to the restroom. He cannot get into his wheelchair on his own, so they have to pick him up and put him in his chair and then back on his back. They have allowed him to eat his meals in his room because he does not like eating with other people. They are assisting him with nearly everything. The place is very clean, too."

"I would go to Casa De Palomas. The staff was very knowledgeable and very personable. The cheapest room they had was small. It had a bedroom, a living room, and a small kitchen. They do have a one-bedroom with a balcony, and that was quite lovely. The dining room was beautiful. They had several different activities going on. "

"We were very happy to be able to place our loved one here. The personal were fantastic. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. Venice is our Hero. He made the experience quick & easy. He made sure our loved one received all the special care he required. Great Place. "

"When we got to Ravenna Assisted Living, the front door was open and there was some chaos going on at the front door because the power went out. But the activities director stepped right up, greeted us, and led us to an office area. It was really that somebody in that situation stepped forward and explained what was happening and took care of us was commendable. Some activities were going on, and I would say that the community was active. They had common areas where people could play games or visit. There were even some small courtyards off the side where you could go outside. It was a very calm atmosphere and very interactive. All of the care people there would introduce us to different residents by name. They knew everyone there and kind of had a relationship with them. They had one large cafeteria-type room, and they also had a formal dining room that if your family came to visit, you could reserve that room for your family to have lunch or dinner with you. The shared rooms were like a studio apartment style and very well kept. You share a TV. The inside and outside of the building were very well-kept. "

"My husband had a stroke in November and was in the hospital for about 6 weeks. The doctors said he only has 3 months to live. He stayed at this facility for a short time because I couldn’t take care at home. He got more strength here, and improved so well, he can walk to the bathrooms himself with a walker. He enjoyed being around the other residents, hanging on the patio and socializing in the living room, and having music day on Mondays. The food is homemade and is excellent! We will go visit again his caregiver and the friends he made. I’m so amazed of his recovery. He even played a chess game with his daughter. We highly recommend this home! Maria "

"Albuquerque Uptown Assisted Living was very nice, very clean, and had a nice view from the window. The staff was nice. The dining area looked nice, clean, and bright."

"I worked for more than a decade as an elder care case manager and had many wonderful experiences with the care of my clients and others! The direct care staff are held to high standards of care for the elders, the home is clean and cheerful, active yet peaceful. The clients always shown the utmost respect! When it became time for my father to move from more independent housing, due to advancing dementia, I chose Constance House for him, to live the remainder of his life! I couldn’t be more happy with the loving attention he recieved, as a daughter and as a professional!! Ms Dimperio is very skillful and full of understanding and compassion! Frequently the residents enjoy cognitive stimulation including singing, listing to music, recognizing places on maps and discussing current and historical events!! Not such easy trivia! I always found the staff responsive to my requests and they always follow up with many medical concerns! "

"My mother has moved to Hilldale House. It's very bright and clean, they have lots of cameras. I really like it very much. They serve home-cooked meals and they're reasonably priced. We chose them because they have a very small group, only about six to eight at a time. It's very modern, it's all on one floor, so there are no ramps. The food is very good and they're very caring. I never see anyone in disarray or having a problem, and they're usually very quick to solve any problems that might arise with the elderly. The doctors on staff are really good, they have a very good medical side to it also. It's a very good place for assisted living folks, and even for some people, like my mother with Alzheimer's, it's a really good fit because they're so warm and hospitable. They had some newer people working there. They had a seated chair exercise regimen, they had entertainment that comes in, and they play some games. It's very homey and very comfortable."

"Wellsley is just a small place. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. I chose it for my dad because it has a lot of heart. They are very kind and sweet to their patients. There's a small amount of patients with a large staff. I'm really grateful to this community, we just had a really fun 4th of July party yesterday. My dad likes the food. It's a great place."

"Worse care for your love ones, these people keeped my mom medicated all day. My mom lost 35 pound in the 8 months she was there, I end up taking her to the ER where they clean her up with IV. Horrible care, please if you really care about your love one this is the last place you want to take them. Food was awful, they give them Kool-aid for juice. I had to bring my mom food because when i called her she was always hungry. I stop for lunch one day and the lunch was, frozen fish sticks with can or frozen peas and carrots, another day was frito pie, really ?these are eldery they need to eat healthy, decent meals. The ladies there are mean to them, They don't talk to them, don't interreact with them. They rather give them a pill and put them to sleep. They are horrible. If my mom had stay another month, I don't think she will be here. I have to say there was one lady there, her name is Martha very nice lady, she was the only one that show compasion and was caring like they should be with this poor eldery people. You can't ask questions because they get offended, like when you ask what they eat, why there is peep on the her room floor, why is her dieper always dirty. In other worse look else where."

"This is a clean, well taken care of facility. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the residence. We feel like family with the staff and other residences. It's a safe place for our loved one and everyone who resides here. They always seem to have some sort of activity for the residence's and provide excellent meals too. I am so glade to have found such a great place. "
