My experience with MorningStar of Rio Rancho seemed a little rushed. The woman was probably busy that day, but I felt like I needed to hurry. It was a beautiful place, very, very pretty, and very well laid out. It was less friendly and more formal though, which is fine. The staff was well informed, but a little rushed. The model rooms were gorgeous. I do not recall seeing one that was lived in.

I have to agree with the review the administrator is hard to get a hold of and if you do she is argumentative and can be rude most times and not just to family but I have seen it towards the staff as well. But the staff at Beehive are wonderful kindhearted people, there are a couple complaints about one male night staff. Rooms are good sizes. They have their own bathroom, cable tv in the rooms( bring your own tv ) and can hook up a personal phone for them if cellular isn’t a good option for them. The open area where residents all come together is very nice so they have the option to watch tv out there as well if they didn’t want to be in their room.
Food is well balanced the facility always seems peaceful and comfortable everyone is always happy.

My experience with Harmony Residential Care has been very good. It’s a great place, it’s well-managed, and well-run. They have quality employees working for them as caregivers to the residents. It’s like a home, not a facility. My aunt is doing very well there, and the transition was a lot smoother than we’ve anticipated. They are very nice folks, and the residents are also very nice. It’s a nice place; I would definitely recommend it. The staff is accommodating, kind, gentle, very courteous, and very gentle. They fit specifically in the job they’re working in. They could probably improve in having more activities to keep the residents moving. My aunt is a little bit more active while most of the other residents are a little more sedentary.

My mom moved into BeeHive Homes of Enchanted Hills. So far, I’m very happy with it. The residents spoke highly of the place and they spoke with my family as we were moving in. It’s not a traditional facility. It’s a home. The maximum number of residents is around 15. So, it’s a very small facility. Her room has furnishings, but you can provide your own furniture. They don’t provide TV but they do have cable service, so you can provide your own TV. They have call buttons in the room. Meals and all ADLs are provided for and they personalize depending on the needs of the resident. The staff seems to be very responsive. My mom has been very happy with the food, and I was able to try it too before she moved in. They serve good meals. I know that they have someone that does activities with them on occasion if not every single day. And they arrange for things like therapy dogs to come into the facility.

My uncle is in the Hummingbird Assisted Living, and they are wonderful. We looked at several places, but we had to go with a smaller place. It’s a home that accommodates 10 people. They’re just absolutely phenomenal with the care they give to the elderly people. He really likes it there.
The house manager is also a nurse. She coddles the patients. She’s caring. She’s loving. She’s a good cook.
They’re doing a phenomenal job, and I don’t have any complaints at all. At this point, the only thing I have to say about Hummingbird is good things.
The food is above average. He never complains about it. They always make sure there are vegetables and fruits. We were there on Saturday. He was having pizza, mixed vegetables, oranges, and ice cream for dessert.
They always are very clean. They do everybody’s laundry individually, so they don’t get mixed up with others. They keep the rooms clean. The rest of the house is clean. I haven’t heard any complaints from anybody.
Considering the other places that we looked at and the cost there, I’d say you’re getting a good value for your money. They can watch TV. They can go outside on the patio. They have a lot of books and magazines for everybody to read. Nothing there smells bad. It’s just a good environment.

I went to BeeHive Homes of Albuquerque. The overall experience was very positive. The person I met with, her name is Joy and was very compassionate, and did a great job of listening and presenting me with the information that helps to make decisions that I was able to take with me. I got a tour of the different room sizes in the facility, and that was very nice to see. She was very thorough and gave me her personal cell phone number because I was having some issues with locating where my mom had been taken. And she was able to help me figure out where she was. So I feel like she went above and beyond more than she needed to do. Incredibly clean, and very well maintained.
There were no obvious signs of disrepair and it was very, very nice. They were residents that chose to be out and about in the common rooms and what have you. The staff was very friendly. Anytime they would walk by someone they would talk to us, and say hello. So, it felt like a very welcoming environment. I did not try the food, but one of the things that were included was a menu. The information that was with me, and that was very interesting. They’re the only facility that I toured that gave me that information, which I thought was pretty cool.

MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Albuquerque was excellent on all levels, but it was expensive. I just looked at the assisted living side. It’s a newer facility, so everything is really nice facility-wise. It’s all well maintained, bright, and shiney. I think it’s been open for about less than five years, so it was a very nice facility. If it wasn’t so expensive, it may have been my number two. Price-wise, it’s just too much. It was going to be at least $12000, and it would probably end up being more.
They have amenities like barbershops and beauty salon. Morningstar was top notch all the way down the line, but it was pricey. They had in-house physical therapy and occupational therapy. They had a barber/beauty salon, and they had the same type of activities as other places. It was really nice. We had so many options in terms of floor plans that were available. It’s conveniently located for us, my family, and my parents’ doctors.
I got to talk to one of their residents, and she had only been there for about 2-3 months. She said they take really good care of her. It appeared to me that the staff took good care of their residents, based on my interaction with one of the residents and that was without anybody else from the facility around. I just ran into her out into the courtyard in front of the facility, and struck up a conversation.

I thought the tour at Life Spire Assisted Living – Albuquerque NE was very positive. I met with a male director. He was very helpful and informative. We didn’t sit down and talk like I had done at the other two places. I kind of told him about the situation as we were moving around. So that was a different experience. It’s a very nice facility. It’s a little farther from where my mom and dad are currently. The rooms were very nice. They’re kind of set up to look more like. a bedroom as opposed to an apartment-looking type of room. So there were a lot more furnishings on the walls and things to make it look more like a room that somebody would live in and not just come and have to occupy. It was nice. I met the cook, and I saw the area of outside grounds. It does seem to have a smaller ground area than the other two places. So I think that might be partly because they’re located more in a residential area.
