My mother is currently in Grace of Monaco. It's a beautiful community. We've been completely blessed with them. It's run by a doctor and his wife is a nurse and we are just so happy with them. We are happy with where she is at. They are just amazing, the communication, the professionalism, they're just beautiful people. When you walk in, you feel that sense of family. All of the patients gather together, they share meals, they celebrate birthdays, they sing for each other, and they play bingo games. There's a lot of engagement. The staff is extremely attentive. In my presence or when I'm not even present, my mother always tells me "I feel fantastic. I'm happy here." My mother's got mild dementia, but she'll tell you if she's not happy. My mother is always happy. Yesterday we went to visit and they couldn't do enough for her like snacks and refreshments, getting her to move, and making sure her medication is well taken care of. My mother looks better than ever. She needed to lose weight and they put her on an Asian diet. She is feeling better with all of the Asian food. She is eating fish and rice, and they customize everybody's meal. In their kitchen, on every cabinet, they have everyone's diet customized. They hug us when we come in. As the extended family, they care about us. They send me pictures every day of my mother. They text me. They're available on the weekends. They're amazing. They're super human beings. Raul is an amazing manager. They have Benita. This is an Asian family. All of them just work so beautifully together. They're so family-oriented. Within their hearts, they care about the family within themselves. That's why it transcends itself to their work because it starts from within their own hearts. That's why it's such a beautiful place. It begins with them. This is an Alzheimer's specialty care. It's spotless. You could eat off their floors. You walk in, you smell the freshness. It's always clean. I go unannounced and announced. They all have their own recliner massage chair in the dining room, and they do music therapy. They listen to Andrea Bocelli for opera music just to relax. They do homeopathic type of things like lavender. They do bingo games, they do manipulatives, objects that are square, rectangular, circle, that kind of thing. They do tactile kinesthetic. They sit with them, and they eat with them. For the price that I'm paying, even though it's a struggle for us, I couldn't find a better place in the entire city and I have referred this place to people that are undergoing the same stress I'm undergoing right now with a parent with dementia or Alzheimer's. They genuinely love what they do.
