Grandview was OK. It's a large place, but they didn't have a lot of people. A lot of residents weren't out of their rooms when I visited. It wasn't residential or homey. The staff members just gave us a tour. They were helpful, but I was waiting on the call from the person with more details to call me back. By the time they called me back, we had already chosen another place. It was clean, but not as spacious.

My dad is doing rehab at Grandview Healthcare Center. It's a nursing home, but they offer shorter stays for rehab and provide physical therapy. They're located across the street to a park in Washington. It's a smaller community, and people there are really nice. He's in the regular assisted living or nursing home. One of the wings is for people that are receiving rehab, so you don't move in the room and it's not decorated. The residents I've met seemed to be happy there. My dad receives hot meals on a regular basis, they take care of all his medications and make sure he bathes. They also do the laundry, they have a doctor that visits him every week. It's been great. He's receiving all the services they said he would receive. Everyone has been really nice, but he won't be really staying there long-term so it's hard to comment for people living there. I love the location, and it's very quiet and very pretty.
