I am currently staying at Blue Circle for rehab. It's very nice, the grounds are beautiful, and the layout of the building is good. There are two people in a room, so it's not one of those apartment things. The rooms are kept up, they're clean and not big. The staff is mostly friendly, but they're short. It's hard for them, like every place else. There are five wings, and one gal might have two wings on her own. That's 40 people to take care of for eight hours. So, it's rough, and it's hard to get somebody to come in when you need them a lot of times. They have bingo, and they have discussions and things. They have a craft day, and they also kind of toss a ball around sometimes. They have cigarette smoking outside, as some people enjoy them. The food is lousy. It's not possible where you get to pick something off a menu. You get what you get and it's not the best. They need to improve on the food and to hire more people.

Everything is nice at Garrison Care Center. My brother is getting what he needs there. It is small, yet big enough to do what they have to do. They have bingo, and he goes fishing. The food is great; my brother loves it. The place is clean and well maintained.

My uncle was there and the people were friendly, but the home was not very clean or orderly. Noisy, radios playing loudly with different music from each room, the staff was kind. Most of the patients were Vets and you know how Vets are treated. Not very many visits only on holidays, food was not that good. Unkempt floors. The outdoors was ok, not very large maybe 2 tables on the outside no calm scenry. For Christmas our group would go there to sing, the patients would be sitting in their chairs looking very sad because they had no visitors or just lonely. I took pictures but I don't look at them, because they look sad and lost. I visited my uncle with my mother many times before he died. The staff as I stated earlier were efficient, the Social Worker was more than helpful she help with the signing of the agreement for my uncle, told me things that I didn't know about him. Assisted us in making funeral arrangements.
