I didn't like Bernard Care Center. They had poor, unprofessional staffing. It's hard to get in touch with management. I wouldn't take anyone there. We had one member who she was 101 years old. It was a clean but poor-looking facility. It's been there for years. During eating time, there were people who couldn't feed themselves and were just sitting there. There was no attention, and the food was not appealing.

My dad was living in Bernard Care Center for awhile. He needs to be in a locked unit because he wanders. The staff is nice and informative. He never had any complaints about the place.

When my mother had a car accident years ago we quickly realized that she would need a place to recover for several months. Due to prime location, we checked out Bernard West Pine Nursing Home first. The home was not clean and the residents were simply lined in the hallways. It didn't seem that there were any activities going on and also, it was dark and grim. We weren't greeted or welcomed by any nursing staff. Our appt with the social services representative was canceled as we arrived as she was not available. We do not have family currently in this home nor do we no of anyone who does; however, our first impression was not a great one.
