I just had a stroke. multiple brain bleeds, and a bunch of blood clots. My independent lifestyle was turned upside down and inside out. I could not take care of myself and go back home. When I arrived here, I was kicking and screaming. I was scared, not knowing what to expect. But, over time the wonderful staff guided me through the weeks and slowly brought me back to life. I could not be happier or more grateful to this facility. No matter how stubborn or cranky I was, they stayed positive and kept me moving forward. God Bless Each and Every One of Them! They changed my life!

My doctor put me in the St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital. I just got out. It's wonderful. They're very good at what they do and what they do is physical and occupational therapy. You don't go there for the food. You go there because you're gonna work three hours a day at therapy. The staff was very competent. They knew what they were doing. They've closed their cafeteria because of COVID. They're building an extended care facility and all the food is coming from that place. They package it up into Styrofoam boxes and bring it around to all the rooms. They're avoiding the problems of having too many people in one room for food and Covid. We've all got to respect that. Being a hospital and trying to deal with Covid is a nightmare. The food was not great. It was OK food. It was difficult for me as a diabetic. It didn't have consistent numbers of carbohydrates in every meal and stuff like that I would look for. They couldn't tell me how many milligrams of sodium were in my meals. I'm used to tracking. They weren't responsible for making them, so they didn't know everything about them, but nobody was going to starve. It's beautiful, it's relatively new, it's very clean, and very nicely equipped.
