We have a younger active group at Millers Landing. Our residents enjoy the active downtown lifestyle with restaurants, coffee shops, farmers markets and a grocery store within blocks.

What programs or activities does Millers Landing Senior Living offer to enrich residents' well-being?

We have multiple activities daily. For those residents that want to get outside and enjoy the neighborhood, we try to do that daily. We also have activities like games, bingo, cards, daily piano playing or just sitting taking in the beautiful views from our solarium overlooking the city.

We are close to the bus line and have Uber service within minutes of a call.

We have a classically trained chef, she prepares fresh nutritious creative meals daily.

What safety features or security measures does Millers Landing Senior Living offer to assisted living residents?

We are a secure building, with a receptionist to monitor the door during the day, and a security system so visitors are personally let in after hours. We also have cameras monitoring the property.

How does Millers Landing Senior Living keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?

The whole management team is kept informed on all residents daily. The Nursing director and the Community Director contact the families on medical issues and all other important issues. the Activities director keeps families in the loop on the activities and we sent out Constant Contacts 2x a week that inform everyone what's happening in our community. We had Gideon the Comfort dog visit and we shared that with all of our families the week before he visited.

We accept small dogs and a cat. We have an outside area for them to use.

What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?

We are constantly in training mode. In person and online modules.

We have a youthful active community that loves to go out into our vibrant neighborhood and enjoy the Stone Arch bridge, shop at the farmer market, go out to eat, listen to live music, visit a museum…..all within walking distance.

She brought a group to the Aquatennial Parade downtown Minneapolis.

We do not have transportation at this time, we will have it after the first of the year.

What makes the chef or dining program at Millers Landing Senior Living exceptional? What kind of menu can independent living residents expect?

We have a classically trained chef, she is very creative and makes healthy delicious meals. I have heard many residents say it's one of the best things about Millers Landing.

What common areas are available for independent living residents?

We have lounges on each floor that our residents can utilize. The favorite spot on the property is the solarium on the 9th floor that overlooks the river on one side and the cityscape on the other....it is breathtaking!!!

We have a secure front door, you need to have a key/fob or be paged into the building.

Does Millers Landing Senior Living work with an agency or registry to provide nursing and medical assistance as needed?

We have an on-site RN.

Those residents who are a wander risk are in our memory care secured area with coded elevators to get into the area and coded doors to get out.

We are located in the Vibrant Mill City District of the city, right on the Mississippi river, with many rooms having river views. The Guthrie, McPhail music, restaurants, Traders Joes, coffee shops and tree lined streets are within minutes of our door!
