Stonehaven of Eagan

I liked Stonehaven of Eagan Senior Living very much, but they didn't have any availability. We looked at assisted living. We couldn't get into the memory care unit because they were full and they wouldn't show it because it's private. I saw the assisted living because at one time I thought that I would move with my husband and just get a two-bedroom. I liked that idea that we could stay in the same room together even if he bumped up to memory care. It was built on a golf course, and it had real pretty things to look at out the window, and it had balconies which were real nice, too. The director was very kind and very nice. She got back to us right away. I met with her about four times. They had a nice quaint little bar that made you feel like you were going somewhere, and they had a nice touch in that they put linens on the tables for dinner. They had a nice little library. I think they have won some awards for the paint that they used, which was for those that are losing their vision, so they could see the doorways. Everything was really nice and thoughtful. I saw the menu and it looked very complete and thoughtful.

We went over at Stonehaven Senior Living and looked at the place. We did some paperwork. We're just going to drop it off with the check and grab a lock for the place. We chose this because of its appearance. The staff and people that we met were real friendly. The staff are all friendly, and they know what they're talking about. They're professionals, and they don't pressure you to make a decision. They sit down and answer any of your questions. The person that gave us the tour listened to everything. She wasn't real pushy. Every other staff member that we had seen had said hi, thank you, and welcome to the family. It's like we are at home there. They gave us a dessert, and it was excellent. I didn't see any flaws in the rooms, and none looked like they were abused or un-kept. They all looked like they've been kept up with lots of care.

My mother is in Stonehaven Senior Living. It's beautiful and new. The staff is more than accommodating and wonderful. She couldn't be happier there, so it's been a positive experience. She loves the food and said they make the best food in the whole town. She's enjoying the chair yoga, chair aerobics, and happy hour sessions where the ladies play cards or bingo. They do group outings once a week which she enjoys. Her room is a spacious, new one-bedroom and a den. The appliances are so new, that she can't figure out how to use the microwave or start the washer.
