"Everything about Timber Hills was very nice. Their rooms were very nice, they have different rooms, and some are larger than others. We have seen both the two-bedroom and one-bedroom. We looked at all of their facilities from independent to assisted living to memory care. The staff member who gave us the tour was very nice. The dining area was very nice, even though we didn' have food or anything, it's comfortable. It's not what you call large, but it has a nice size to it and accommodates the people that are there, so it works very well. There was a list of activities that they have based on individual interest, so they have many activities. The surroundings or atmosphere is very nice."

"I am thinking of moving to Amira Choice Bloomington. It's brand new, it's upscale, it's very nice. The staff was very friendly and they have a lot of activities. It just seemed to be a nice place that I would be happy at. There's an exercise room on every floor, they also have garbage and recycling on every floor. I will have my own balcony, which is a considerable size, my own laundry facilities, and big walk-in closets. I just met the receptionist, because this place is manned 24 hours so there's always somebody there. And she was a young girl, but very, very friendly and outgoing, and the sales manager is a very outgoing young guy too. I also met the recreation director and they were very nice. It all looked very nice because it's brand new. But they had lots of places where you could sit and visit with somebody else, or be by yourself if you want to, so you didn't have to stay in your unit."

"I visited Walker Methodist right down the street. There's no nursing home around that doesn't need improvements. Food would do for a nursing home. "

"Our tour experience with The Waters of Edina was very good. The people were very cordial. The residents that we met along the way were friendly. We were able to see apartments that were already occupied. I talked to residents, and they were very, very happy there. The facility itself was quite lovely. It was very open, airy, and felt more modern. We looked at 2-bedroom apartments with a den. They were big so they were a really nice size. They had very big walk-in closets. The bathrooms were huge and really nice. They had two balconies off their rooms. One was off of the master bedroom and one off of the living/dining room. They include housekeeping once a week for their residents. It had a full kitchen and a full laundry room with a nice sized washer and dryer. They had a long list of activities. They got lovely spaces, if you want to have a family gathering (you just have to reserve it in advance). They also had a nice library and a small pool that was used for water aerobics. It was just quite a bit more expensive to live there. They charge $80 a month for a storage place, $90 a month for a garage, and $650 a month for an additional person. There is a fee for having a pet, too. The meal plan was included, but you could have it taken out of your rent if you don't want it."

"We're moving into Vernon Terrace of Edina. It's in a neighborhood where our kids grew up. Our rent is gonna be $682 a month less, and we are going from a one-bedroom, one-bath to a two-bedroom, two-bath with a den and a balcony among other things. The staff is very nice, very friendly, very professional. The room is lovely, very nice, everything is very well done, very clean, and neat. They have a big exercise room; of course nothing's open now because of the virus. They have a bus that takes you to appointments."

"Friendship Village of Bloomington offered lots of services. It had pretty much everything you could ever want, like meals, beautiful facilities, a library, and gardens. Everything was just lovely. There were medical people on staff. As a facility, it was wonderful, clean, and well-kept. The staff was very helpful. The place was a little bit expensive. "
