Abbey Park Mill River is something special. Great staff that really care about the residents. The layout of the rooms gives you a lot of variety/options. All the rooms have nice decks or patios. The food is really good here with lots of variety and frequent "fun nights" such as this year's Hawaiian Luau. I looked at a lot of different options for my Dad's retirement and this place was heads and shoulders above the rest. Ron and Brenda are they "dynamic duo" who help in every way. There is always something to do - activities, trips, guest entertainment. They even have church services and bible studies. Cleaning teams are everywhere and the building's bathrooms and common areas alway look and smell clean and fresh. On site physical therapy, doctor visits, and assisted living are there to help with whatever medical situation arises. And ..... They have a huge generator so you never lose power! Thank you Abbey Park

Abbey Park at Mill River was a beautiful facility. There were a bunch of people hanging out and enjoying each other's company. It looked like they were very calm and happy there. Their dining room was very beautiful with a little snack shop in there. It looked like a great place. The apartments were more than big enough. I saw a one-bedroom apartment and I thought it was a good size. It had beautiful laminate flooring and windows that looked out over the courtyard. It looked like a very nice, cozy apartment, but generous in size. Then the amenities that they had available were easy to get to and looked like a lot of fun. I could see somebody enjoying living there. The staff was very, very polite and you can tell that they very much care about the residents. It also seemed that they have a lot of amenities. They encourage social gatherings and they even have a little mentor program where somebody new would be paired up with somebody who's been there for a while, who will kind of show them around and encourage them to participate in events and stuff. I just thought that's great. They have a crafting room for anybody who likes to sew/knit, a studio for yoga or exercising (it's nice and big), and a beauty parlor where they can make an appointment. It's pretty inexpensive, but they have a lot of great amenities.

Mom has been in a hospital and a rehab facility for a couple weeks and she has been telling everyone she would only recommend Abbey Park. She absolutely loves it here and can’t wait to get back. We all love the building, the employees and the food. The atmosphere of friendliness simply permeates the entire property. If you are looking for a senior apartment, PLEASE make this place one of your stops.

We went to Abbey Park at Mill River. We have family close by, so that was nice, and the people are very friendly and informative. We also know a few people that have lived there and always gave high regard for it. It's a newer facility. It's very bright, clean, and cheerful. The dining area was very nice, and they claimed the food was very good. The people we know, that live there have been very happy with it as well. The grounds are well-kept. It's a very impressive-looking place. We saw people out, walking around, but not a set activity and play at that time. The apartments were very modern looking and well-kept. They provide new flooring before you move in. You have the choice of a wood laminate or handicapped carpeting. So, that was all very nice and they have balconies too.

I cannot recommend Abby Park highly enough. My parents are residents and every detail of their experience has been excellent. From moving in, to now needing to get more assistance, Abbey Park has been a delight. Each and EVERY employee is friendly, helpful and comforting. The building is immaculate. The options for entertainment and assistance are wonderful. I'm incredibly grateful and blessed for Abby Park!

Our Father has lived here for 2 years now. The office and administrative staff are caring, they address and take care of any issue or requests very promptly. They have followed ALL CDC and OCHD guidelines regarding covid. Notices are sent and areas like the dining room are immediately closed. I'm grateful my father has stayed healthy due to quick action by the administration. He has the option for assistance in his room by just pushing a button or pulling a cord. Assisting Hands calls me immediately if there is a emergency. They have great fun, games and trips out to local restaurants, parks and other attractions. I'm truly grateful we found Abbey Park. We feel like all of Abbey is extended Family. Take the Tour. Ron, Brenda and Kristi will take time and great care in all your loved ones needs

Approximately 9 months ago, my wife and I made a decision to move into Abbey Park at Mill River. Looking back, that was a very good decision. We have enjoyed living in a nice community where we can enjoy many activities if we choose to. The food is great and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Management has been very professional while working throughout the pandemic by following policies that has limited covid situations and kept it from spreading. Anyone who might be considering moving to a Senior Community should check out Abbey Park before making a decision.

Be aware. Covid runs rampant here, without intervention other than telling residents to “have a power of attorney ready”! Staff do not wear masks or distance, INCLUDING the cleaning staff that go in and out of everyone’s rooms. There is performative temp taking and signin at the door but the staff don’t really care if they spread Covid to residents because they refuse to mask to protect them, despite multiple requests from residents and families. Even the visiting doctor doesn’t mask. If a resident has ANY elevated risk, they shouldn’t live here. If they don’t want to be shut in their room for weeks at a time because staff don’t care about spread, they shouldn’t live here. They don’t even notify you if the person your dining with comes down with Covid. If you are considering Abbey Park, wait til after Covid is long over.

My mother is in Abbey Park at Mill River. They have in-building care services provided by another company. She does have some help, and she's in hospice now, so they do have hospice support. They're in there a few times a week. That seems to be working OK, but I'm not sure how much longer that will work out. We have been very happy there. However, mom's getting to the point where she can't do much of anything for herself, and Abbey Park is independent living with some assisted living help. She's not very independent at all anymore. We're really happy with Abbey Park at Mill River. It's like two miles from my house, so it's very convenient for us. The activities are really limited. The dining room has opened up, so they have limited access to the dining room. They're still using social distancing in the dining room, but there really aren't a lot of activities. They are starting the bus back up -- I think they're limiting how many are allowed on the bus -- so they're starting to do shopping and doctors' appointments. They were dining in the dining room for all their meals, but now they only have the main meal of the day. My mom goes down for lunch. Some residents go for the evening meal, and those are the ones they're serving in the dining room. She likes the food; she never complained about the food. I've eaten there, and it's good food. The building itself is almost brand new. It's a very nice facility, they have good maintenance, they take good care of it. When they were having the activities I would give them a "four." My mom was going to choir practice, and they always have something for them to do, which is really nice. That's been hard with COVID.

My mother is at Abbey Park at Mill River. It seems like a nice place. The tenants seem very friendly and welcomed her in, and they have doctors who come in every week. Her apartment is beautiful, large, and has all the accommodations that you want, like beautiful cabinets, plenty of closets, a balcony, and a little courtyard in front of her apartment since she's on the ground floor. It's very nice and immaculate, and looked like nobody had been in there when we walked in. She likes their happy hour, where they have wine and snacks. Once or twice a week, they have people come in for entertainment, and she takes the buses to the various stores around. They come in every morning and make her bed. My mother is very happy, so I feel like it's a very safe place.

I think Abbey Park is a great place. I liked the big, wide, open hallways, you don't feel cramped, and it makes it easy for people to exercise and walk around. Each apartment had nice, big porches to go out on. It is very large, there were some residents sitting around, but most people stayed in their units. The staff seemed more isolated from the residents and I got the impression that they just want to get their job done, but the ones in the offices are fine. They only do 2 meals a day, the menus looked good, and washer and dryers are on each floor.

Abbey Park is a very attractive and elite place. It’s more like a hotel than an institutional retirement home. It’s in a very good area. The food is mediocre. They have music concerts there, go to the local markets, watch movies, and do crafts.

Facility wise, Abbey Park at Mill River looked really nice. We went into the rooms and the dining room, and they were nice. The turn off there was the staff. They were a little bit bothered that we were there. To be fair, I didn't schedule a tour with them. I just showed up on two or three different occasions and asked if I could see some things. I was annoying them, but I had done that at other places and every other place was absolutely willing to show us and do whatever they could to be helpful as opposed to making me feel like I really shouldn't be there. Overall, it was a newer place, so it looked very nice. The one room that I was able to tour was reasonably sized. Everybody seemed to be happy there. I didn't see disgruntled people.

About a year ago it was determined that my mom should no longer live alone and we began to look for a senior's living facility that could provide a safe and friendly environment for mom. Mom had a couple friends living at Abbey Park and after checking several other facilities it was decided Abbey Park was by far a step above other locations we checked out. When you walk into the lobby it is like walking into a five-star hotel offering apartments with several different floor plans. Mom has lived there several months now and raves about the staff, the food and other amenities. She is safe and happy in her new surroundings and is thriving with the social life, new friends and activities provided. If you are looking for a place for a loved one - check out Abbey Park. You won't be sorry.

Abbey Park New Hudson is a nice facility in a good location. The resident coordinator Charles is fantanstic. We have been disappointed with the office staff attitude and their lack of responsiveness. They have changed care givers and it has gone from bad to worst. You must have a care advocate to deal with them, it would be too overwhelming for a resident. Every month they have overcharged, going in realize that is a business who's objective is make money.

Abbey Park is a wonderful place! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff at Abbey Park are kind, quick to respond to problems, and genuinely great!! I know if I go to the staff with a concern they will get to the bottom of it. They switched to Senior Helpers recently, and the new caregivers in the building are wonderful, and the original caregivers who stayed have worked so hard to help with the change and assist the residents! I'm very pleased with Abbey Park.

Nice facility Charles does a good job. Front office very helpful getting you into the facility after that they could care less. New care provider transition has been mismanaged and no better than the company they let go.

I visited Abbey Park at Mill River, and it was a beautiful and well-kept facility. There were several lounge rooms and dining areas where residents gathered. A chef prepared their meals everyday. The apartments were spacious and well-maintained. The staff were interactive and happy. They had a lot of activities in the facility like an exercise class, arts and crafts, crochet club, card club, etc. There was a grand piano in one of the lounge rooms and somebody played a couple of times a week for group singing. There was also an auditorium with comfortable seats where old movies were played twice a week. I would commend this place to others.

Abbey Park had affordable rates, convenient for us and it had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and very concerned about our getting in. There were different apartments but we preferred the two bedroom. We tried their food and it was delicious. The dining room was clean and spotless, and the staff there was very accommodating. They had card parties, bingo and also transportation to the stores and doctors.

I was told that this was an affordable place and charged about the same as a small apartment. On my visit, I noticed that the room where my neighbor was staying was very clean and seemed like it was constantly tended too. I only visited this location one time, but it did leave a nice impression on me. I can't say it knocked me off my feet, but to be fair, when I went I wasn't really paying close attention to the amenities as much as I was visiting with my friend who had recently moved in. We didn't talk much about the home, but if he had any complaints he would have told me. He is a picky man, so I firmly believe he would have voiced his discontent. The place smelled normal, which seemed to be the bane of many assisted living establishments -- the smell. I don't have any harsh words and I remember coming away with a feeling that my friend was going to be okay during his stay. It seemed like they took care of their patrons.
