We have chosen Arbor North for my mother-in-law. I like that when you walk in, it's very welcoming and it has a friendly-feeling atmosphere. The entranceway is set up so that in the summertime, it's a nice place for residents to go and socialize. They can sit in the sun or sit in the shade. It's just a very homey feel. They offer a lot of games, activities, and events for the residents, more than many of the other places we looked at. In addition to that, the whole facility is set up more with a homey feel rather than a sterile feel. In addition to that, residents have their own little porch where they can sit down. They share it with their neighbor, but whether they socialize with the neighbors or not, is entirely up to them. The other thing is that, if needed, they provide the amount of care as far as you need laundry services. The residents can do the laundry or a family member could go in and do the laundry, or they'll do the laundry for you for a charge. We did not taste the food, but we saw some of the food being served. From what we can tell and the impression that we were given, it's home-cooked with personal touch. The residents had a couple of choices of what they would like, and it looked good. We talked to a couple of residents, and they said they love it there, and they said they like the food.

My mom is at Arbor North. They try hard to take the best care of her that they can, and we appreciate that. She's not wanting to do any of the activities, but they offer a lot of things. If she wanted to do anything, she could. Her room is very nice. I also had lunch with her just last week, and the food was really good. They have all kinds of neat places. They've got a room that's like a library where people can do puzzles and play games. Then they have another room that looks like a conference room. It's got a big, long table and people go there and color and visit. They have a piano and people play and sing. And then they have a nice, great big lobby where they've got lots of chairs where people can just hang out and visit. They've got a lot of things. Plus, they have outdoor space for you to sit around outside, which is nice in this kind of weather. The place is very nice, and the value for money is good.

I looked at Arbor North yesterday. It was very nice, neat, and clean, and organized. They have nice apartments. The staff was nice and thorough. We've seen the laundry room, the beauty parlor, and the cafeteria. The dining area looked clean and organized.
