The staff is so positive. They greet residents and visitors with smiles and conversation. Culture feels as if everyone enjoys being there! Clean environment and maintenance staff are on top of it! Rooms are clean and bright with nice window views. Large closet space. Activities are diverse and appropriate. Story time and exercises and fun events!

Our family and Mom visited several residence options, and it was Mom herself who decided on WM. Mom had several friends who had resided there over the years whom she had visited regularly. Mom always was told and saw firsthand how happy her friends were and how they were cared for and tended to. Our experience has been just as positive since Mom decided to call WM home. We know most of the staff and administrators by first name and we are regularly impressed and observe for ourselves how they are care for and interact with “Miss Kay”. Mom has had 2 rooms, and been very happy with both. A second room became available after a few months and staff asked Mom about a move, and she decided to accept their offer after visiting the room over several days and considering her options. It was a great experience. We’ve talked with Mom about the Memory Care and Assisted Living as she has options, and it’s been her choice to remain in MC as she loves the spaciousness of her room and the company of the friends she has made. I am personally grateful she remains in MC because I cannot say enough good things about the caregivers I see interacting with Mom (and the other residents) almost daily. Mom has always kept largely to herself, but she is regularly kept apprised of fail activities and personally invited to participate. But her privacy is also always respected. The meals, structured schedule (for peace of mind), medication and medical attention are everything I could have asked for. We live nearby so regularly visit. The staff have contacted us for things here and there, and always been thoughtful and professional. Mom has some mobility issues and staff have helped her with the phone and daily things that have really improved her quality of life, and given us an assurance of care and attention that had become a concern in her previous independent living. At WM, Mom has care, a measure of independence, respect, her basic needs tended to and companionship. We could not be happier with WM.

Woodlawn has been a wonderful residence for our aunt. It is warm and welcoming. The entire staff goes above and beyond to care for their residents. They are attentive and take an active interest in the health and well being of everyone. They offer daily activities allowing community members to socialize and interact. We do not live in the local area and are very pleased with the proactive communication and updates that are provided. We are confident that our aunt is receiving excellent care in a safe and well monitored environment.

This is a truly wonderful assited living home! The rooms are spacious with a private bathrooms and big closets. Everything always clean well kept! My grma loved beauty shop day and the many activities offered. Her favorites were BINGO and the musical guests. The meals always smelled delicious and the menu resembled something from a restaurant. I visited often and never did I see a caregiver treating any resident with anything but respect and compassion. The administration and nursing always there with support and advice. I would definitely recommend Woodlawn Meadows Assisted Living hime!!

We visited most of the similar facilities in this county, and this one was the most spacious and seemed to have the most activities going on. My mother raves about the food, and often talks about the staff showing her warmth and love. The staff notifies me of any issues that my mom experiences.

When it became apparent that our mother could no longer care for herself, Woodlawn was our first choice. Both my sister and I live hundreds of miles away and we decided it would be best for mother to remain in her home town close to her social network and church. The staff has given mother wonderful care. They are keep track of her health and take action when needed. Now mother enjoys good health and is physically and socially active. Mom always says the people are so nice and the food is good. We feel confident that our mother is in the best place possible.

My sister & I first visited Woodlawn Meadows with our mother as part of our quest to find her a place to live if/when the need arose. Evelyn was our “tour guide” and knew what to tell us even before we asked! Afterward she asked Mom what she saw that she thought would be helpful for her. Mom’s answers were helpful in deciding what level of care and services would be most beneficial when the time came, which turned out to be sooner than my sister & I realized. Mom chose Woodlawn Meadows over other facilities we had seen. We are very happy with her choice. The staff does a great job of determining what her needs are, the medical staff is excellent, and Mom has gained weight & is healthier than she’s been in in quite a while. The staff communicates with my sister & me regularly, and we all seem to work together well for the betterment of our mother, who is 91.

The staff is so caring and wonderful. They treat mom like she is a part of their big family. In addition to providing excellent care and wonderful food, there are so many great activities for the residents to participate in. One of her favorites is the spelling bee. There are several talented musicians that come to perform and interact with the residents. The apartments/rooms are perfect size, with great private bathrooms and huge closets. We feel so lucky to have mom there!

Rooms are very clean and well kept. The staff is very kind, attentive and responsive to our needs as a family. I feel very comfortable that our loved one is safe and well cared for. Staff involve clients and families in activities and encourage participation and socializing. This is a wonderful environment.

The staff from administration to care givers really care about our loved one. When there is an issue they quick and accurate to keep families informed and involved. They keep the residents involved in daily activities.

The deluxe rooms are well laid out with plenty of storage space. There are very varied and vibrant exercise programs and the staff is creative and flexible about inviting residents to join in. The open beverage / coffee / healthy snack area is easily available and accessible. My family and I have found the staff to be cheerful and truthfully engaged with our parent and he is very comfortable with all the staff I have met.

The staff at Woodlawn continue to take exceptional care of my mother, as they have since she moved in, and especially since the pandemic started. Communication has been terrific, which has been so appreciated with the shutdown. We chose Woodlawn in part cause we were impressed with the staff when we first visited - especially Tyler's exceptional work and kindness providing activities for residents, and also Lauren as director until recently. (And we are thrilled with Allison, now, as Lauren's replacement. Thank you so much for keeping us all up to date and connected.) I can't say enough good things about all the staff - those who take care daily, the nursing staff who oversee medical issues and maintain good contact with doctors/ nurses (thank you K'Anne!), the food service, and the custodial staff. I also thought the Memory Care building was exceptionally well laid out and it completely lived up to my expectations. My mother's room is a very comfortable and homey size, with a big walk-in closet and bathroom. I love the window sill area looking out on the adjoining trees and field (hence the name Woodlawn?!). My mother loves seeing nature. So she is completely happy in her private space decorated with pictures from home. The three wings of the building provide a non-institutional atmosphere for the residents in each pod, with a dining area and a large living room. I especially appreciate that the rooms do NOT open onto a hotel-like hall, which could be confusing to memory-impaired residents. Instead her room opens to a large and well-laid out social space, good for visiting, or just sitting, which feels like home. Finally the big common space between the three wings is great for group activities or for visits from family or friends. It is just incredibly well thought out. Woodlawn has lived up to - and exceeded - my expectations when we chose it as a home for my mother.
