"My father has been a resident here for 5 years. We have been very happy with his care..The employees and staff are always kind and caring to our father.He has dementia but still has some of his mind yet. This has been very trying times with covid and we feel the staff has done a tremendous job through all this.Our father can be very hard to deal with at times and we appreciate all of their hard work in dealing with him.He is not ready for the memory care yet.Myself and my sisters very much appreciate them putting up with my dads up and down personality. People need to realize assisted living does not mean 24 hour one on one care. My dad mostly just needs meals and medicines distributed to him. We are happy that at this point that’s all that is needed. We find the facility to be clean atmosphere to be calming and over all are very pleased with Park Place!Kudos to the staff for all their hard work! Especially through all the covid!,"

"My wife is in here right now, and they've been very good to her. It has three lodges, and she's in lodge two, which is not for the worse-off residents. She likes it. The staff is very good and interacts very well with the residents. It doesn't feel like a hospital, although they take care of all of them. They're very kind and very responsive. She has a private room. They have plenty of activities and I attended an event where the residents were making their own art. They're always watching movies in the evening, and they have flower arrangements. She has physical and occupational therapy, and the physical therapy certainly helped her out. The food is pretty good."

"There are several different buildings at Friendship Village including a nursing home, assisted living building and a dementia assisted living building. What I toured was the regular assisted living building, which I was extremely impressed with. This facility is extremely beautiful and home-like. Residents have private rooms that they can decorate how they wish. Additionally, there are computers, a library, several dining areas that the residents can socialize at. Also there are several activities that are conducted throughout the day the residents can choose to participate in or not. Activities include discussions on major issues, crafting, group outings, and exercise programs. Unlike other nursing homes, there is not a strict schedule that the resident is forced to follow. They can choose what they wish to do and choose when they want to do it. Staff is on call 24/7 in order to assist with ADLs (dressing, eating, toileting etc.) The staff seemed to be very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the resident is safe, comfortable and happy. "

"My mom likes it there at Bickford of Portage; it's a nice place. The staff is very attentive and caring, and the facilities are very neat and home-like. Everything was decorated nicely. I like the activities and the staff. They have social gatherings, exercise classes, movies, sing-alongs, Bible study, and just anything you'd want to do. They have crafts, cooking, and baking. My mother's room is very nice. Because of COVID, I'm not allowed to go anywhere in the facility and only had to stay in my mother's room. COVID restrictions are slowly being lifted, so someday we'll have access to all the rooms. The residents have access to the whole facility, but the visitors do not. Her room is very neat. The view is beautiful. She has a view of the courtyard, and it's very nice. From what I can see, the main lobby is nicely appointed and decorated nicely. My mother's room is nice and clean. She uses her own furniture and everything, so that's fine. Everything's expensive. I wish it wasn't expensive, but that's what you have to pay."

"Its a great place from get go. They were able to fill all the paperwork for my mom and have taken care of her since last 3 years. The rooms are airy, well maintained and staff is very courteous and kind. Food is whole some and nutritious. It is a great place for my mom who has enjoyed staying there ever since. I can trust the staff to do the right things. My mom's safety has always been on top of their mind. Highly Recommended!!"

"My dad moved to Lakeview Assisted Living. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The facility is clean. It's decorated nicely. Some of the food has not been to my dad's liking. They have a bunch of different activities, but he has not used a lot of them. They have given what they had promised to do, and I'm not concerned about his safety. They take very good care of him."

"Heritage is nice and the rooms are spacious. The staff was nice. They serve three meals a day even and you have to pay for it even if you're going to eat there or not. "

"We found Stoneridge for my father. The dining setup is very friendly and very warm. It's a very small home, which he likes it very much because they do more one-on-one with him. They seem to care. They asked a lot of questions about the activities he would be interested in."

"My mother-in-law is in Verona Adult Foster Care Center. We are happy with it and hopefully she can remain there. I choose it because I know the girl that runs the place as I went to school with her. I hear a lot of good things about this place. It is also convenient for us to go visit her three times a week. If my mother-in-law possibly gets worse down the road, we may have to move her. But for now, this is a good place for her. They are good to her. What we like best is that it's like home. She is comfortable there and they have everything they need. They have a lift chair. The have a number of staff for the residents. It is originally someone's home that they turn into a facility and the owner is hands on. She generally like working with old people and it shows. She's very caring. If I have to go into a nursing home tomorrow, that will be where I want to go. "

"I like the cleanliness of The Villa At Winston Court. It's a beautiful place. It's homey. I like the owner and the way he explained things and I like the whole layout. It's a smaller facility. He's got plenty of staff. It's beautiful surroundings. All around I was pleased. It looks good. The owner was very nice and explained things, but the test comes when my husband is there and how they take care of him. From what I saw, it was pleasing, and this is where I would feel comfortable. And I have several people that are there that I know and visit, and of course, they say nothing is like home. Everybody said, 'I wish I could stay home, but this is the best place. This is a safe place.' It's clean. Sometimes people complain about food, but everybody cooks a little differently. This is institutional food. The only thing I might say is they don't have a chef that cooks, and it's the staff that cooks."
