"We went through the transition from living at home to Memory Care about twelve months ago. Throughout the difficult decision/transition period and then during the residential time, we have experienced universal caring and concern on the part of the staff. They have been there for every need and request, and they have all gone out of their way to make my resident feel comfortable, safe, and as happy as possible. The facilities are clean and comfortable and one couldn't ask for more from the kitchen. At the end of the day, however, it is the staff that makes Linden House the outstanding facility it is. They have welcomed me as the caregiver and responded to my every concern with respect and responsiveness. But most importantly, they have taken my resident into their hearts and made her part of their family. It is difficult at best to more your loved one to residential memory care, but I, for one, take solace in the fact that she is receiving better care than I could ever offer. And I have been there and done that for seven years before we made the decision to go to Linden House."

"We had a very excellent tour of Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge. I'm impressed with the place. Some of the rooms were nice, some of them were vacated, and some were rehabbed, getting ready for their next resident. We've put a deposit down, and as far being on the waiting list, they're giving us vouchers for several dinners and lunches there, but I have not eaten there yet. They have a pool, a gym, a nice library, walking paths, community rooms, gaming rooms, a nice cafeteria, and a pub."

"I'm very impressed with the quality of care at English Meadows Crozet Campus. People were very, very nice, very capable, and very well trained. My impression was that people who were living there really were comfortable and felt safe. I talked mainly to the people who are giving the care, and I was very pleased with them. They are mixed; certain rooms are assisted care and certain other rooms are not. I don't think they're separated as clearly as some places might be. The staff at English Meadows was really fun, very kind, very knowledgeable, and very caring. The main thing I could tell was they really care about the people who live there. The facility is actually on several stories, so there is a stairway and an elevator. The view from the windows at that place is absolutely spectacular; I can see how someone could fall in love with the place just by looking out the windows. The mountains in the distance are just gorgeous. The staff are very kind, capable, and very caring. I didn't meet any people who didn't seem happy there. It's obviously right on the street in Crozet. When you go out the front door, you're right outside in the main street, which is not a problem at all. There is a park a few blocks away where people could walk to if they wanted. It's not fancy, but it's very clean, well kept, and very livable."

"We chose The Harbor at Renaissance for my wife and its fine so far. The community looks very nice, clean, and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they call me and talk to me when something happens, and they also quickly take my calls. They have something going on at least a few times a day, it looks like they take a field trip at least once a week to different places. They celebrate birthdays once a month with cake and all those things. They send me a schedule about what's going on each day. I haven't have any problems with them so far, and my wife hasn't complained either, so that's a good thing."

"I have visited The Retreat at Fishersville, and I love the place. It was just more expensive than the community we ended up choosing. They showed me a studio, a 1-bedroom, and a basic nursing home room. They were fine. They had day trips. They had a library and an activity room. They had things like bingo. They also had a courtyard and patios."

"I toured Birch Ridge. I like that it's small. I like the grounds. The man couldn't have been nicer to answer my questions. I've had a good experience. The facility was very clean. It probably needs to be modernized and updated. It has the feel of being old, but it was clean. The rooms are nice, but their common area, the furniture, it's old."
