I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is staying at RoseWood Village at Greenbrier. The staff is outstanding. I think it's beautifully decorated, so it's always visually attractive. I've watched them play cornhole. They've had spelling bees and they play bingo. They have a variety of musicians who come in. They have exercise groups every morning. They have a variety of movies, trivia games, and crafts. They have a lot of activities. They have a good schedule. They have a variety of rooms. You can get bigger rooms, a two-bedroom, a one-bedroom, or a studio. They have little kitchen galleys. But most of them are going to be just microwave and coffeemaker level. They do have refrigerators, but not with stoves.

I visited this facility

RoseWood Village at Greenbrier is probably my favorite. I like it. The different little seating areas were really nice and creative. The staff seemed to be happy. We did not eat there, but it looked like it had a lot of good amenities. What I did not like about them was that they didn't have a smoking area. Their smoking area was across the parking lot, and I felt like that would be kind of dangerous for somebody at 87 to be traversing against a parking lot. The staff who toured me was not quite as accommodating. She had somebody with her who was like the quality manager, and she was very good.

RoseWood Village at Greenbrier was well-maintained, and the person that gave us the tour was fine. We walked through the dining area and we saw the posted menus. I noticed that the menu did not offer an option that my husband could have because he has an allergy to mammal meat. But they said they could make something special for him, and that they had another person who's had that. It was a nice-looking facility. They were doing some upgrading to the public areas of it. We were just disappointed that they didn't offer independent living, which is what we were looking for.

I visited this facility

RoseWood Village at Greenbrier is a very convenient location for shopping, churches, and medical services. It is a very good location. The facility seemed to be in good shape. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable, and they were very helpful in answering my questions. I had a good visit, and I learned a lot. The availability is limited, so I think the issue is to try to get on the waitlist as quickly as possible. The facility itself is a good one. I went into the dining room and walked all over the facility, but I didn't try my food. The rooms are small and are limited to studios or one-bedroom apartments. They were renovating. They only had one that was available, and people are moving into it today. They were doing some work like painting and repairs. They were convenient to elevators, and they were spacious. I thought they were fine. The staff was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and was able to answer all the questions that I had. The staff was very receptive to feedback.

I visited this facility

Rosewood Village at Greenbrier was nice. The set-up they have there is awesome especially if you do not need assisted living like you're able to go as you please, and that was the part that was our only concern for my aunt there. They had memory care there, and I would have gone there myself when I retired because their set-up was beautiful. They had a nice outdoor facility. They had several floor plans. We went more into the memory care rooms. We didn't go into the assisted living rooms, but we saw the floor plans. Down the hallway, they have what looks like a little main street type thing, so it was really cute the way they had it set up. They have outdoor spaces. They have a garden area. They have a nice little patio with a barbecue that they do outdoor events with as well. Their dining room for the assisted living part was a little bit more upscale, but that's for the assisted living, not for the memory care. They had a separate area because memory care people would take the tablecloths off. Their dining facility was extremely nice and probably a little more upscale. The upkeep was very good. It was a nice facility. They were cheaper actually. The staff was extremely nice. He was very knowledgeable. He was filling in to show us around because it was a little short notice, but he had been there for years and years. The financial part of it, he wasn't as knowledgeable because someone else handled that. He gave us information and all that. It was a good experience with him as well.

I visited this facility

I toured the RoseWood Village at Greenbrier and I liked that community. I was able to meet one staff member there. The rooms that I saw there were adequate. I saw that in the different common areas, there were groups of people having snacks, talking, and playing cards. And a lot of people had their doors open and were visiting. The place itself was clean and the building was well-maintained. It's a very nice facility.

After three years as a resident of Rosewood Village, we were so sad to leave! The only reason we did was a move out of State nearer family. The facility is lovely and "home-y" and doesn't feel like an "institution". The staff was friendly and caring. They made a point of working with the family and the resident. And I was so impressed with the care given during the height of the Covid epidemic and the very minimal spread of the virus!! The food and dining facilities were super. The residents are able to meet & greet at tables, and tablecloths make it attractive. Activities of some sort were available every day, including music, shopping opportunities, holiday and birthday parties. In short, we would still be there if we could, and still feel part of the RoseWood Family!

RoseWood Village at Greenbrier was a very nice place. It's a beautiful location. The building is very nice, and they have all kinds of amenities. The apartment that they showed me was nice. It's an excellent-looking place. The ones I met with were very nice. I did not taste the food, but I smelled it cooking, and it smelled really good. When I commented that something smells good, one of the residents said lunch was delicious. The layout was well thought out. The place looked very clean. There were no smells other than that delicious food cooking.

We went to look at RoseWood Village at Greenbrier, and we liked the place. I liked the rooms that they have available for the memory care unit. I liked how big the memory care was. It was allowable for wheelchairs and set up with a lot of space, so they wouldn't be running into each other or the walls. I saw some activity. They didn't have the memory care pamphlet that showed what activities were going to be done during the month. But I was told that there were activities for the memory care as well as the assisted living side. They told me to go to the website to look at it. So I was pleased that there were going to be some activities available. The facility was safe, and there was a sign that the floor was wet. They had several little areas where the family could go, sit, and talk to each other besides from their rooms. I liked the layout and cleanliness of the facility. The people and staff were all friendly. Overall, I like it a lot.

Thank you so much for the glowing review, Lorna!

I visited this facility

I was there at RoseWood Village at Greenbrier on a Saturday, and I know a lot of places have less staff on the weekend. It impressed me that it looked as good as it did. The dining hall was spread out more than six feet between tables, so it was a very roomy situation. They only have a total of 90 residents, so I think that in itself is helpful. The other thing that was comforting to us is knowing that as my dad was approaching the end of life, that they had a specific protocol for end of life. They allow people in even if they needed to quarantine. They had not had a Covid case in over a year. I like the affordability of the quality. There was another facility that was almost double, but I didn't see that kind of discrepancy. I think that having different levels of care based on the needs of your loved ones as they go in, is a fair system.

Provider Response

Thank you for the kind review, Kevin.

I visited this facility

I went to RoseWood Village at Greenbrier. They were a tad more versatile than the other places. Their plans were like as an example, you could select whether you wanted laundry service or whether you didn't want it, you wanted your family to do it, or you want to do it yourself, and you may have that option if you're capable. So they had a little more flexibility. That was nice. They had different types of rooms. They had like a studio and a one-bedroom depending on -- because the money went up accordingly. The studio was pretty much you walk in and have a living area and a bed space in that same room area and then a separate bathroom and a little mini kitchenette with a microwave, and so it was pretty much like most of the others. The staff was very knowledgeable. The girl that was supposed to take us around was out sick and it was like one of the director-type people that took us. I ended up knowing his family. He's married to the daughter of the owner of the firm. So he knew what was going on, was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and gave us plenty of time.

I visited RoseWood Village at Greenbrier. They're very friendly. Everybody was very nice and informative. They explained how the meals went and that they had a selection. It was decorated for the season. The staff during the tour was very informative, very willing to show us around, and answer all the questions I had. She was great and took her time to answer questions. She showed me how me how everything kind of worked. They showed me the list of activities. It seemed like they kept them busy and very active (if they choose to be).

I visited this facility

I went to RoseWood Village at Greenbrier and had a very nice tour. I saw the assisted living and the staff. The executive director happened to be my tour guide and was was extremely pleasant (both to me and to the residents that I saw). They seemed very dedicated to their job of caring for older people and making their experience pleasant. The executive director was very concerned about having a feeling of a family-type situation there, and they worked very hard to create that for the residents. I saw the dining room and their menu. It was spacious and well-lit. The facility itself was very clean and very organized by their principles. It was just a little overly decorated to suit me, but they believe that the residents enjoy that.

Very nice and spacious rooms. Provides multiple secure levels of care based on the resident's needs. Frequent activities were posted and I attended one or two with my grandmother. The staff are all very sweet, providing consistent care whether family was present or not, and all of them called my grandmother by her nickname. Great visiting hours and options (like providing meals for visiting family members upon request, holiday meals you could attend for very cheap, etc).

RoseWood Village Assisted Living at Greenbrier Drive is extremely clean. It's like a Hilton, or a Marriot going inside, it has beautiful flowers, and it's very nicely furnished. The rooms are beautiful, you can furnish it with your own furniture from home, and if not, they have nice furniture. It's nicely furnished, nicely carpeted with tiled floors, it's clean, and has no bad smells. The staff is excellent and very attentive. It's really good, but it's very expensive. The food is great, not institutional at all, and the dining room is beautiful. They have movie nights, and all kinds of activities (too many to list).

The staff who assisted me at Rosewood Village was a nice guy and very helpful. The rooms and the apartment were very nice. Before they admitted him, they painted it and cleaned it all up. It’s got a really nice updated bathroom, and the window looks out over a terrace or a nice garden area. He has got a very nice room, and it’s kind of an open kitchen; it looks out into the community gathering room and the television room, and it’s decorated very nicely. You can eat at the table, and you can also come up to the kind of wrap around counter. They have an activity schedule, and they have a good number of support personnel to help out with the residents. The security is top notch, and the memory care unit is in a locked area. You have to have a code to get out. You need to code to get on to the elevator, and there are a number of support people always have their eyes on the residents.

Overall, the experience was good. My grandmother appeared to be well taken-care of. There were several residants who were very ill and if you were not familiar with the environment it would be uncomfortable for the average person. However it was clean, and the staff was very kind.
