"We visited Bridgewater for my relative. Everything was fine. I liked it because it offered everything, like if you went into assisted living or needed more help. The staff was good. Their rooms were not as big as the others I've seen. "

"My sister-in-law is now at Sunnyside Retirement Community. Primarily, it has just been a wonderful experience. All the levels of staff (the doctors, the nurses, the health aides, and the physical therapists) are very caring, very professional, and always very kind. My sister-in-law is in a single room with her own bathroom in there. She has a lovely window where she can look out and see trees, shrubs, and things like that. She has a nice bed, a reclining chair, and straight-back chairs, so there's room for people to come in and sit down and visit with her. There's plenty of room for her to move around in. It's very comfortable. They have a dining room area. If patients aren't feeling up to it, they bring it to the room. The dining room area is very friendly. She thinks the food is very good. They have a wonderful team and nutritionists on board. They have a wide variety of food. It's very tasty for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She is overall very pleased with the food. I'm very pleased with them. Every staff person that we either talk to or interact with has been very caring, very professional, and has reached out regularly. They have taken care of any needs that my sister-in-law certainly needs and are trying to be on top of everything for her best care. It's extremely clean and well-maintained. I find it comparable to any other place that I've been to, and it's expensive, but you get quality care, quality facilities, and quality medical care. "

"My wife is in Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing. I like the care she's getting. I like how clean they keep it. They take good care of her and take care of her needs. It's nice and clean. It's like any brick home. The grass is cut and the bushes are trimmed. Every place has trouble with staff and all, but I'm really happy with it. The staff is doing a good job taking care of her. The food I saw was excellent. They have the rehab room for all the machines and everything for exercise. If she needs to go to doctor's appointments, she gets a ride. They keep her room clean and the floors clean. I'm satisfied."

"The people who work there are very nice. I know they had my grandparent's best interests at heart. I thought it was cute that they had room mates. My grandparents got along well with their roommates and they were always happy to talk to us when we would visit. There is a court yard, which is nice, but it is rather underwhelming. It could be better maintained. The dining hall is probably the best part with its high ceilings and long tables. As nice as the people there were, I always wished we didn't have to put my grandparents there. The facilities are drab and just generally depressing. The wood panels and the fact that everything is brown makes it look like some sort of 1980's rehab facility. There are nicer homes in the area, we just could not afford it. it is a safe place, but just a bit depressing. "

"Trinity Mission Health and Rehab was clean. I would not have let my wife go back the second time if it wasn't clean the first time. The food wasn't a problem. As far as therapy, she wasn't able to take therapy while she was still on IVs. I don't have any problem with them or I wouldn't have gone back. I went with the administrator one time, and I talked directly to him. He even put me up in a motel for 5 nights. Trinity is the only one I still trust and I have no one else to recommend besides them. "

"In my experience, VMRC is a terrific assisted living facility. All of the employees are friendly and willing to help the residents with whatever they need. I have never seen any of them do or say anything rude. They also make sure they are well staffed so no one gets ignored or forgotten. Not only are the employees polite, but they are very personable and remember the names of the residents which makes it feel more like a home. The facilities are always in good working order and things like light bulbs get changed when needed. Every time that I have visited it was clean and there weren't random items laying around. In short, I was, and continue to be, very impressed with this establishment. "

"I was a patient at Oak Lea (2024) and also at a later date this year, my husband required care at Oak Lea. I had back surgery requiring assistance, and my husband had a four-wheeler accident with a broken leg and other injuries that needed to be looked after. He then developed a serious infection that required IVs ever eight hours over the course of six weeks. He feels just as I do that VMRC is the very best (greatest) of all places to be. Private rooms, excellent nursing care, therapy is caring and what can I say except that we had no complaints whatsoever with any area of this facility. Daniel and Heath take care of your Medicare issues along with any problems that may concern you. We feel very blessed to have VMRC in our area."

"It is a very friendly place, I just wish it were closer to a hospital. I enjoyed my visit to the center and would recommend anyone to check it out. It's a very cozy place and the seniors are encouraged to interact and play amongst themselves. "

"We made an unannounced visit to The Laurels and were greeted and welcomed by Margie who took us on a tour. We asked some difficult questions about surveys, staff ratios and staff turn around. She answered openly and without hesitation. She made arrangements for our out of town daughter to visit on the weekend. It didn't take us long to decide this was the appropriate place for my sister. Everyone is friendly and caring. Questions are welcomed and responded to promptly without judgement. My sister is well cared for by the CNAs, LPNs and the dietary staff who graciously accommodate her needs. She is content in her brightly sun lighted room surrounded by her personal things. We as a family are confident our decision was the right one."

"My mother was in Albemarle Health & Rehabilitation Center for over a month. The rehab center did not work for my mom. She is 97 years old. When we put her there, we explained to her that she needs to work hard on the rehab part because she fell and broke her hip before. She did not take to it. She wanted to do it, but just did not have strength and she developed some issues while she's there like bed sores. They decided that she is not a candidate to stay there any longer, and they made us move her out to another facility. We were not going to leave her in Albemarle because it was so expensive. Most of the staff are fine. We noticed that they didn not seem to be staffed very well, and they did not have enough people to answer the phone or return phone calls. They have a very strict visitation policy, like zero visitations while my mother was there and we could not visit her at all. My mother said the food was fine. We were paid for by Medicare for her rehab, but to stay and live there would be $9,000 a month. That is pretty strong."

"We have found Our Lady of Peace to be an exemplary place for Independent, Assisted and Dementia Care. We have a family member in each area and love the care they get. I am somewhat baffled by the "bad" food comments as we find the food to be EXCELLENT and freshly prepared by a Chef nightly... I recommend OLOP highly for their care of others, competitive pricing for the services provided and for the progressive care setup of the facility. The folks truly care about everyone there on a personal level. "
