"I toured American House Jenison. From the time that I met Natalie she was very cordial, very polite, big smiles, and we had a good time. We had a good conversation. She was pretty thorough in presenting American House, which was nice. The place speaks for itself. It's very well-kept. The grounds and the apartments are nice. When we went into the open one, my sister was thinking about the living room area. When you walk in it is quite generous as far as space, then the bedroom. It was nice, had a very big closet, and a nice size bathroom. They do supply two meals a day if you want them, so that's included in the price along with all the utilities. Internet is also included in the price itself. There's this big bay window in the back that has a nice and beautiful view. There's a creek and a huge piece of land behind it. It's very calm. It's very serene. There's a beautiful golf course right across the street and there's a bike path out by the road that goes for miles. There's shopping, coffee, businesses, auto repair, and there's all kinds of stuff just blocks away."

"My brother recently moved in. It seems to be a good fit. I was new to all of this and they made the process simple and quick. My brother seems to be happy."

"My mom has moved into Grand Village Assisted Living & Memory Care. I don't feel like the director is very professional, but I think the staff is good. Right away they wanted me to sign her up for hospice, which my mom did qualify for. That kind of means that their staff had to do less because they said hospice will come in and shower her and stuff like that. I've never dealt with this kind of issue before, so I don't know if that's typical, but she is there now. The other thing I don't like is that they make you sign up for ACH withdrawal, but I never got an invoice. All of a sudden, the money is out of the account, and I have no idea, like, no invoice. I'm supposed to get the first month rent free, but then they just took $5000 out. I'm going to email them and say, 'I want an invoice.' I feel like their security is good. It seems very clean, and the staff is good. I just didn't care for the way that the director handled the whole admission without telling me the amount until I already had my mom in there. I felt like that was wrong on her part. She wasn't very upfront, and I don't think they're professional. The everyday staff, like the nurses the young ladies that work with my mom, they're really good; I would give them a 5. I t's a nice building. It's relatively new. I don't think my mom has been participating in activities. They offer them, but she hasn't been doing them."

"My father-in-law will be moving here. It's beautiful; the apartment that he's going into is very clean and spacious. The bathroom facilities are wonderful. The staff was very informative and very friendly. The dining area was very nice. It's still kind of short because of the COVID, as far as being able to eat in the dining room itself, but it's coming back. It looks very nice, and the chef even came out and introduced herself to us. The activities are limited right now because of Covid. They have a spa and a fitness room. They have a beauty shop, a nice library area, and a nice little bistro area along with their dining room. It was very nice and very clean, I was very happy with them."

"In July of 2019 when my husband and I decided to move back to the Midwest to be near our adult children, I began searching the internet. Rivertown Ridge immediately caught my eye, so I contacted the sales office. Meredith was very kind, patient, and helpful in answering my many questions. In August, we sent in a deposit. One of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Unfortunately, my husband passed away while we were still in Florida, but the genuinely friendly staff at Rivertown Ridge made the move an easier adjustment for me. My apartment, the dining rooms, and common areas are wonderful! There’s a variety of activities, but no one feels pressured to participate. The location is ideal with shopping, hospitals, doctors, and restaurants nearby. I’ve made several new friends here and am so happy to be a resident at Rivertown Ridge. "

"Grand Brook is an EXCELLENT Memory Care facility! I recommend it highly! Their timely communication with families, frequent updates on how Mom is doing and excellent standard of care set them apart from other Memory Care facilities! The Caregivers are very well trained and love their residents! So many activities are offered throughout the day to keep the residents active, engaged and learning. The facility is absolutely beautiful. We are so glad we found Grand Brook as we feel Mom is flourishing there!"

"My sister had to be placed on the memory on very short notice right at Christmas. They people got her in & squared away when I never thought it would happen. Great service. The staff was excellent & the accommodations wonderful on the 3rd floor! My special thanks to Sheila who made this experience so good. She is not paid enough!"

"Byron Center Manor looked very nice. The people were friendly. They have nice rooms. The dining area was nice and clean too."

"I toured Harbor Homes Norton Shores. I'm impressed with the staff and people who are in the building. The facility was very good. The rooms were very good. The layout was very nice and easy to move around. They have four separate buildings. Each one of the buildings has its dining room, and they're very clean and very nice. It has a very good atmosphere. It's close to everything, shopping and all that. It's also close to a hospital in case something happens, they don't have far to go."

"American House Spring Lake was nice. It had a two-bedroom-two-bathroom that it could have gotten there, but the view out the window kind of turned me off because it was overlooking the parking lot. I don't want to spend my days looking at a parking lot. The apartment itself was great, but the view was horrible. The person I spoke with was very patient because I don't move fast because I use a walker. She was very patient and very thorough about what was available. I got the chance to see most of the facilities, and they seemed to be nice. Everything looked good. She had put some effort into my visit to the point that she had a little gift bag for me with some stuff in it. I saw the weight room, and they had a laundry service, too."

"Robbinswood had 75 or 80 people there. We were concerned about the care because they didn't seem to have enough staff. They had a lot of activities, but we were just concerned that my father-in-law would not have enough individual care. It felt like a college dorm. It would be a good community if he could walk, but he was wheelchair bound. However, it was a clean, nice, and well-kept community. The room that they were going to put him in was far away from the nursing station, and we were afraid that him being wheelchair bound wasn't going to get the attention that he needed. If someone was really active and social, it would have been a perfect fit, but my father-in-law was very quiet and wanted to be left alone, so it just wasn't a good fit for him. "
