Hathaway Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care was very clean and very well-organized. We were impressed with the person that we talked to about potentially having my brother live there. The apartments were great. We have a concern with my brother being someone who can't keep his hands off of the equipment, so we wanted to make sure that he wouldn't be messing up other people's environment with the way he does things, and they understood that. We observed a sit-in-a-chair exercise activity with a beach ball that the participants seemed to enjoy. We viewed the whole facility and were very happy with it.

From the moment I stepped foot into Hathoway Hills, I was convinced that it was the perfect place for my dad. The warm and welcoming atmosphere instantly gave it a family-like ambiance, which extended not only to the building layout but also to the compassionate staff members. Dealing with the complexities of caring for aging loved ones is never an easy task, and there is no definitive guidebook to navigate this chapter of life. However, I can confidently say that I have found solace in the choices we have made for Dad. Knowing that he is in a secure and nurturing environment brings me a profound sense of peace.

My fathers room is good sized and is cleaned regularly by the staff. They do a good job with his laundry and we have had very few items lost. The staff are very responsive and give individualized care to my dad. I get regular communication regarding his activity. They seem to have a lot of activities but my dad chooses not to participate very often even though the staff encourage his participation. The cost has risen quite a bit since he moved in and that causes distress to my father.

10 months ago our family arrived at the point where our mom couldn’t remain in her home of 50 years. After visiting almost every assisted living / memory care facility in the metro Grand Rapids area we found Hathaway Hills in Greenville. The “homey” atmosphere created by the care team along with location and physical set up of the building immediately told us this was the right place. The team quickly won over our reluctant mother and I can confidently say that despite her mental decline she is safe, happy, and thriving. God bless the Hathaway team. They take on a tough job and make it look easy.

My aunt lives here, she receives exceptional care, they have fun activities, and great food! The place is always clean with a welcoming atmosphere. The Executive Director and Wellness leader are always participating in activities with the residents. They seem to really care about their staff. I am happy to have my family here.

This facility is wonderfully maintained and safe. The staff is great, and very caring and friendly. The food is good, and the kitchen help will go out of their way to provide a different meal if the resident does not like what is offered. My husband has been in the memory care unit since Oct. and is happy and content. Staffing has much improved in the unit since admission. Having once been an RN charge nurse in a LTC setting with dementia patients, I've been impressed how the caregivers on this unit handle situations. They all work as a team. A memory care unit is a hard place to work, and the caregivers rotate between sides. This has its pros and cons. But the "seasoned" ones do a good job in orienting the newer caregivers to the unexpected behaviors that can occur. These caregivers do their work with respect and care to these residents. Daily activities such as painting and other art projects, building with Lego's, etc. are provided. They can attend music programs, parties, and other social events out of their unit, but within the facility.On warm sunny days they can go outdoors in a large enclosed grassy area with tables and chairs where they can enjoy just being outside Staff and management are approachable and willing to listen to one's issue, and they help deal with the situation in a timely manner. If your loved one has dementia and it has taken its toll on the family or the primary caregiver, I would not hesitate to have him/her at Hathaway in the memory care unit. I'm grateful for Hathaway, for I know my husband is getting the best of care.

I could not ask for a better place for my aunt to stay. The atmosphere is clean and cozy. The staff are nice and welcoming. My aunt is always happy, this is how I know she is getting good care! She loves the food and activities!!

This is a great facility. Every staff person we have had contact with reassures me that my dad is in the right place. They always keep you updated and it is so nice that it is a small enough facility that the people you see regularly know who you are and who your person is. My dad is not just a name, they treat you like family, take excellent care of him, the facility is maintained well and they eat like kings and queens. Thank you for treating my dad with the dignity and caring he deserves

My Mother has been at Hathaway Hills for 10 months now. We have experienced a very kind and helpful staff, from the aides to administration. My Mom has a unique case, since she has a colostomy and needs her bag changed a few times a week. Most staff members have become familiar with the process, although she experiences new aides at times that need to learn the proper procedures and takes a while to get it right. This is frustrating for her, but part of the process. The chef tries to accommodate her with foods that she can eat due to the colostomy. I like the town hall meeting that takes place approximately once per month, this includes the residents and gives them an opportunity to speak freely about their thoughts on improvements or making compliments on anything they have enjoyed. As a family member, I feel confident that the staff at Hathaway Hills have my mother's best interests at heart and they are very good at communication and keeping me in the loop.

Like the fact that they can get the care that they need and still keep their privacy by having their own space in a room to themselves. We also like the fact that it's a small facility not too big to confuse the residents. The staff is great. Very Caring. Very clean. Food is good. For those who like to go outside they take the time to allow this with a nurse always accompanying them. If you have any concerns you can talk to the staff and they get the situation resolved. I wish this facility was there when my mother needed it.

We have been very happy with Hathaway Hills since moving our mom in. Rooms are comfortable with large bathrooms and walk-in closet. Staff has been wonderful. Personal attention is given to each resident. There are so many planned activities for the residents aimed at keeping their minds and bodies active. They also have periodic special activities for holidays, birthdays as well as special treats. Meals are served from their own kitchen on regular dinnerware and look to be home-cooked. Not easy when cooking for a crowd! There is an in house beauty salon for residents as well as laundry service. Large community areas, a beautiful courtyard is great during nice weather. A weekly church service for interested residents. This has been a good fit for our mom.

I went to Hathaway Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff I spoke with was nice and went over everything. We talked about cost. It's a smaller facility. He showed us where the dining area was and where they do activities and then we were able to see a studio apartment. It was clean and nice. There was a really small group of residents watching TV in kind of a big area where you came in at. They didn't have any activities going on at the time. From what we saw, it was really clean and seemed in order.

Everyone at Hathaway Hills was very caring and supportive with our family and mother as she transitioned to assisted living. The move wasn't easy for her, but the friendly staff and residents were very welcoming. Mom's apartment was clean, bright, and spacious. She enjoyed getting her hair done and participated in some of the activities, especially the musical performances. Our family is very thankful for the wonderful care and attention mom received at Hathaway Hills. She always felt safe and loved.

The rooms are very nice with room for personal touches. The staff is so friendly and good with the residents. They involve the residents in activities as often as possible and take into consideration the residents wishes or special needs. When my mom was near the end the staff to the time to help our family understand what they were doing for her and always checked in with us to see if we needed anything or if we had any questions or concerns.

Our Mother was there for 3 plus years and we have seen firsthand what Alzheimer’s diseases can do to a person you love. This progressive dementia disease can be hard for the whole family. Hathaway Hills Assisted Living let us take care of the rest of our family knowing that our mother had the very best care.

Hathaway Hills is the answer my family needed for Mom. The staff has been helpful every step of the way, Mom's apartment is spacious, the food is amazing and there are always activities for Mom to participate in. Mom was of course hesitant at first but she enjoys being at Hathaway and we appreciate knowing she is being very well taken care of.

This is a beautiful facility. There are many different sized rooms to accommodate different needs. They are very nice rooms with bay windows. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. They spend a lot of time helping me understand my father’s illness and they are very reassuring. Leslie and Jenna always make sure that I understand what is happening with my dad. They also make me feel better when I am struggling with my father. They have many fun and quality activities and they make sure everyone is included. Dawn does a wonderful job planning and implementing fun events. They have a hair salon, podiatrist and chef . Kevin has also spent a great deal of time moving my dad to another room and he also decorated it to make it nice for him. I am grateful for this facility and the people who work there. We are very lucky to have such a quality facility here.

My Parents were both here, at separate times, and very comfortable. Rooms are clean and more than adequate size. Staff is very professional, efficient and genuinely respect the Residents. Medical issues are handled promptly with Resident's physician and family notified. Church, bingo, crafts and games are regularly scheduled if Residents choose to attend. Dietary restrictions are efficiently handled by the kitchen with occasional special requests.

The staff was fantastic! Very caring and nurturing. They went out of their way to take wonderful care of my mom. I can't say enough positive about the staff, I would totally recommend Hathaway Hills to anyone. The rooms were large, light and arranged nicely.

The staff was very helpful during a difficult situation with having to follow COVID guidelines. My wife was probably no different than most in feeling that she didn’t need to be there. I know this made it difficult to get here involved with activities, but to their credit they kept trying. Jenna was very open in giving an honest assessment of my wife’s condition. As an example the intent was to move her out of the Memory Care Unit and in to the Assisted Living section based on their evaluation of her condition. My wife ended up only being at Hathaway fo 2.5 months before we decided to bring her home. I thought the rooms were very nice size wise and always clean. The meals were very good and the residents were given choices which for each meal which left a big impression on me. It seems much thought went into the planning of the building to provide ample space for a variety of activities.

The rooms are small but pleasant with en suite bathrooms. Staff is very loving and helpful. The Life Enrichment program is outstanding! Leslie and Jenna were very helpful and approachable. I was very satisfied with Gordie's care and have recommended Hathaway to others.

The facility is nice and clean. The layout is conducive for senior living. Activities for the residents take account for all different levels of physical and mental constraints and needs. The transition to assisted living can be very challenging, not only to the resident(s) but also for the resident’s family/care takers. I can not stress enough that a very open line of communication will make this transition smoother, pleasant, and be achieved more quickly. The staff is very caring and helpful. The care given is is matched to the need of the resident be it a dementia resident or a physical need resident. They consistently make the residents feel like they are at home. The assistance given to the family at the time of end of life of our parents was phenomenal.The situation for each parent was different but handled very caringly and professionally. I would highly recommend Hathaway Hills needing an assisted living place for a loved one. Feel free to contact me in person if more detail is needed.

I went on a visit to Hathaway Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care. It does not have any kind of Medicaid waiver; so if they are out of money, they are out of luck. It is one of the reasons I did not select them. It was nice, but the money part of it did not feel right. They had a hair salon and walk-in tub or spa that people could utilize.

I have a Aunt in Assisted living and she is well taken care of. The staff are very kind ,and loving and I would recommend this place to anyone. I very pleased with her care. This is a very clean facility.
