"I had a zoom tour of this facility. I saw the assisted living private studio room. For an older community, the room was up to date and seemed very comfortable. The building had a homelike look to it. I was told they are starting construction soon too. They offer 24 hour care, housekeeping, laundry, activities, a therapy program, and they even have a doctor who comes to see the residents. The staff seemed very friendly as well. "

"We visited here, and it was a very nice facility. The rooms were much smaller, but the grounds were very nice. It is a newer facility as well. Their dining area looked very nice and very clean. The ground was very large. They had a center courtyard, and it was very nice. We met the staff. They seemed very caring and nice as well. They had an entire calendar of activities that were planned for all the residents and some of those activities were going on like the sing along and things like that. "

"My mother has moved here. So far, it's been good. The staff is good. It's one floor. Cleanliness is really good. It's too early to tell though, and there's nothing I dislike yet. They have lots of enrichment for the residents. She's in a one bedroom with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, private bathroom, and TV. It's nice. We chose it because of the location."

"I was looking for my sister and the residence seems to be very friendly, clean and equipped to handle the needs of the residents. Very homey setting. "

"I moved into Green Acres Greenville several months ago. It's a nice place, the help is wonderful and it all seems to be well and good. I think the staff is very good. I'd say I have a nice apartment, they have different kinds but this is the larger one. We have activities like bingo, games, parties and social hours, exercise, church and just about anything you need, including entertainment. They use the activity room for exercise, and they have a bus. In terms of the food, we have pretty good cooks now. I like the community because it doesn't remind me of the hospital. There are wide open hallways, trees and benches. The place is nice. The pricing is high, but it may not be for other entities that you get. Because we are not charged for every little thing that we do, you get charged for how you are assisted, which makes it nicer. The cost is all in one lump sum. I think the price is high, but not higher than the other places in the area."

"We have already placed my mom in an ALF called Our Place Cares. It was our choice primarily because of the location. Also it was recommended to us by the people in the hospital. The place is always clean. All the residents there have dementia-related issues and it is a good fit for my mother. The staff is good. They're friendly and they work very hard there. I thought the residents are well cared for. They try to do things with them but most of the patients are fairly far along in their dementia, so I don't know if they could participate all that much in anything. My mom for one doesn't participate. I think the best thing about this facility is the staff and the neatness of the place. They even have visiting doctors that would make house calls. I would recommend this place. "

"My dad moved to Rest Assured Assisted Living. It's only 11 minutes from my home and the facility is like a home. Like a regular residence of the person would be in. The staff is caring. The rooms are nice and it doesn't have like some of these places you walk into, and the first thing that you smell is urine. This place is clean. They're always keeping everything clean and updated. They have a church group that comes in and does craft activities. They try to play bingo once a month. They have a neighbor that comes in that's a church group, and they play music. In nice weather, they have an outdoor seating area and they have a bonfire. They have raised garden beds where residents can plant their gardens. They have exercise programs that residents can join in on exercises for their age group. They are all very caring. They listen well when you're explaining things about your parents or the person on what is going on. They take notes. They show you the facility where the medication is capped and how it's all locked up and only certain people have the key and they're scheduling for certain items."

"Golden Life Adult Foster Care has been great. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. I have no complaints. My husband's room is too small for two people, but he's alone now; it's not so bad, and it's very clean. The meals are fresh, not frozen, and they're very good at cooking a decent, healthy meal three times a day. The dining area is like a family table where they all sit around, and they serve the food on their plates. They go for walks, they have outings, and they play games. The dirt driveway is just so bad, but it's a very happy atmosphere."

"My husband is in Twin Oaks. It’s a nice, small place with 15 or 20 people at the most. They have a big table where they are served their meals. "

"I chose Bishop Hills because it was close to my daughter, and it's been pretty good. The rooms are OK, but the food needs to be updated. We have a hair salon, a lady who does nails, a library, and a dining hall. The place is nice and quiet."

"Maple Ridge Manor is beautiful and has nice people. They seemed more than adequate. I saw the menu, and I know what my mother is eating every day. It's well rounded, there are adequate helpings, and my mom is pleased. There are lots of activities; she's busy all the time. They have exercise in the morning, a devotional in the morning, and every afternoon they play cards, puzzles, or something. On Friday night, somebody will come in and play music, or they'll sing. They have a spa room, a hairdresser, a theater room, a big library, and a room for family to go in and have dinner. It's so expensive, so that makes it very hard, but she's well taken care of."

"There is a wing for assisted living and one for memory care. The manager, care-givers, activities director, and cooks are loving, caring, and conscientious. There are individual apts., with a central dining room. They go on trips, movies, etc. My mom was there for 2 years. It made her feel like she still had her independence, though they dispensed her meds, qeued her for showers,etc. Mainly, it was the overall love they showered my mom with daily, while keeping her safe. "
