"The place that I liked so far is called Tribute at Black Hill. The staff members were friendly, kind, and capable. All of my expectations so far have been met. The rooms are all private and very spacious. They have studios. They have little kitchenettes and private bathrooms. The food from what I saw seemed to be varied and a good selection of choices to eat. They had an in-house beauty parlor. They had trips going out all the time. They had in-house games and socials. There's a really good feeling of camaraderie there. They were very helpful, and they answered all my questions in my search. I'm a novice, but I had people with me that had been to a lot of other homes and assisted living places, and they were very impressed."

"Sunrise was very nice and very home-like. They seemed to be well organized. The staff was wonderful and provided a wheelchair for my husband for the tour. We were looking for a combination of assisted and memory care and also a two-month respite care. "

"AlfredHouse V was nice. It was a house setting. It's very clean and updated. We were looking for a building with a gym, but it doesn't have an exercise facility. They said they could build one, but right now it doesn't have one. The person who gave us the tour was fantastic. He was excellent. The rooms are spacious. They're clean and well-furnished, and the bathrooms are nice. They have options for shared bathrooms or private bathrooms. It met our needs. But right now, we're not ready to move yet. The dining area was very nice. They have a kitchen and an eating area in addition to the bedrooms. An activities person comes in twice a day, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There's a shared activities director for other Alfred Houses."

"After a lengthy search, we found the perfect home for Mom that checked all the boxes: Safe, clean, attentive staff, home-cooked meals, happy residents and conveniently located near family. The home has good natural light and the sun in Mom’s room makes it cheerful. The owner is an experienced registered nurse who understands the needs of the resident. She effectively communicates with Mom, family members and caregivers to provide Mom with an individualized care management plan to ensure she stays healthy, safe, and happy. Her good judgement and communication have relieved our family of worrying about Mom’s care and have enabled us to spend quality time when we visit. Mom loves the caring and attentive staff who make her feel loved and special. They go above and beyond to help her and make her happy. Mom always looks forward to the meals. She is always dressed and clean when we drop in. We never expected Mom to be so content. Assisted Living of Potomac far exceeds our expectations."

"My dad moved to An An Assisted Living II. Where he is now is a wonderful place. They take care of the residents there. I go and visit whenever, whenever I want to is fine. They keep you updated on what's going on. So I have nothing bad to say about it. The staff, I rate them a five, however, there is a language barrier. It's a house and there are five residents there. My dad is on a peg feeding only. They do have activities, but I think the youngest resident there is 90, so they don't use it so much."

"Bedford Court has everything my parents need so that they can relax in their retirement years. They have a lovely 2 bedroom apt. with a full kitchen. They are served delicious, healthy meals in the dining room every day. They are close to shopping. Shuttles are available to take them to nearby places. There are activities for them to participate in within the facility and locally. I have peace of mind knowing that they are in a safe environment and if the time arises, they will be able to move into the assisted living community. "
