I visited this facility
We've decided to go with Westbank Lighthouse because it was small. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. I liked that they have single rooms with only one person in a room. The room is a very good size, and it was also furnished. I saw everything they have, they had two living rooms, and in everything, there's just plenty of space. It was very clean.

Westbank Lighthouse is in the Old Aurora neighborhood of the Algiers area of New Orleans. Its convenient location is just a few steps from bus stops and several blocks from Village Aurora Shopping Center. This facility is also minutes from the city's Central Business District via the Crescent City Connection.
With a mission to provide exceptional care for the elderly in a safe, loving home, Westbank Lighthouse functions as a residential and respite senior home. This small state-licensed facility is owned and operated by two registered nurses and accepts long-term care insurance. Its in-home care providers are carefully screened and highly trained in caring for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Residents are able to receive contracted medication supervision and 24-hour assistance when needed.
The homelike environment of Westbank Lighthouse gives residents a sense of comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. It consists of seven individual bedrooms, and the bathrooms are large and handicap-accessible. Three balanced meals are served daily, and there's a large sunroom and deck for relaxation.
