"My grandmother has experienced both independent and dependent living. It is definitely a transition going from living on your own in your home to living in an assisted living space then to dependent but the staff and family support really helps! There is a lot to do and the apartments are really beautiful. While there are differences in the units that are dependent vs the ones that are independent, I was surprised to see how similar they are and how much space there is. Outside of no longer having a stove or dishwasher, the units are very similar to a standard apartment. There is a communal activity room that has a larger kitchen where residents can do cooking classes, as well as really good food available in the dining room or delivered to your room. Staff also will help with cleaning any dishes you may have made during the day. While no one wants to lose their independence, dependent living at Lambeth feels like a good combination of having your independence with extra hands! "

"Rooms are clean. Communication with staff is near impossible. Don’t even attempt to get upper management on the phone. Staff very skilled at passing the blame whenever things don’t get done, which is constantly. A lot of theft also. Laundry incompetent, lost clothes, dirty laundry piles up for days. Understaffed and likely underpaid. DO NOT put your loved ones in this place especially since Commcare took over. Daily mass is the only plus but not worth the stunning incompetence and outright negligence of this place."

"Poydras Home is very close to our house. My daughter and I can walk there and we can visit my mom often. We also know other people whose parents are there. My mom will move there on October 16. They opened a brand new memory center with 11 rooms and staff which was very impressive. They were all very excited about the new program. There's green space, a secure garden and rubberized walkways. "

"The Blake at Colonial Club is an excellent facility. I like the newness and the modernness of the rooms and the group rooms. They offer everything that a person could possibly need. They have a salon where you can get your hair and nails done. The facility was great. We could not tour the memory care, so I did the assisted living, but I was told about the memory care. The staff was all great. Even when I came in, they had me identify myself, and put in my information in a kiosk at the front desk. I like the safety of it. They're just topnotch. I didn't consider it a good location for me because it was in Harahan, but because the facility is so beautiful, I would consider the location."

"I don't know how to begin this but by saying excellent. The service and care that the staff provided for my sister was huge! The staff called me and gave me updates on my sister and gave her so much warmth. The faciality called me during Hurricane Ida with daily updates telling they had Food, Water & Power -- plenty of air conditioning. I never needed to worry. If you need help they are a great people to have along with you. St Catherine's provided hospice there for my sister and made her very comfortable. In her final hours even in the middle of the night they called to inform me that it was getting close to the end. I went and they comforted me as well. I held my big sisters hand to her last breath, I love her so much. It pains me that i lost her. But, she is in a better place. "My dad is currently in Fidelis Scofield House, which is a level 2 assisted living facility. He has been there for three weeks now. I like that it's a home-like environment. With only eight residents, the caregiver-to-resident ratio is much better, which is great. I think my dad gets better quality care there. He is currently in a semi-private unit. Unfortunately, that's all they had available when we needed it. While I would have preferred a private room for him, it is working out. I do think there is a lack of maintenance, but overall, the facility is fairly clean. They have a big eating kitchen area, and most residents sit at the table and eat there. However, my father is just at the point where he is barely eating. Should he be able to do that, that would be nice. They also have a nice living area with recliner chairs, television, and all those amenities for their residents."
