We toured St. Charles Community and we liked the appearance of the place. Everything looked very homey and everybody that we dealt with was super friendly and very helpful. My father-in-law was fluctuating back and forth and they were very patient in trying to help and in answering his questions and I appreciated how they were with him. The person who toured us was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful too.

I checked out St. Charles. They seemed really attentive, really nice, and clean. They were serving lunch, and we could have stayed for lunch, but we actually didn't because we had already eaten. The food smelled good, and it looked good. The dining area was really pretty and really nice. The tables were set prettily, but then COVID hit, so no one was really staying in the dining room. The layout was really good. It had a front lobby, a big seating area, and extended, big, large hallways that went down to the rooms and to the different areas. It was really pleasant, really nice, and very clean. They had good parking, a good lobby, and good rooms.

St. Charles Community looked like a home to me. The streets are lined with trees, and everybody has a little house to live in. They serve meals once a day if you want to order them. I know they have a good recreational plan that they just can't do right now because of COVID -- like they have a wellness center that's not open for now, and they can't take trips. The staff is very helpful, though, and it's just ten minutes away from my daughter, so it's easy to get there, and that's a big draw.

St. Charles was very nice. I thought it would have been a good pick for my dad and his wife. The community is closer to me. It looked very clean. They had like a café and a cafeteria-type place. My stepdad and his wife are interested in cottages -- which they have -- which was more for independent living, and so those were very appealing.

My mom is now in St. Charles. It is very good and above average. They have excellent security and plenty of activities. I think the community is good for the price. The room rates are kind of high, but services are cheaper than other places, so that wasn’t so bad. The overall cost is probably a little bit less than average. The staff is very attentive and very good. The food is good. The dining area and grounds are nice. It’s a nice facility. I don’t think they really need that much improvement anywhere.

The facility is beautiful and staff who took care of my mom was phenomenal. Very clean and the food was wonderful (surprisingly!). The reason we ended up leaving was because of the managerial staff, particularly the director Michelle. We had multiple issued where certain services were promised that my mother never received. She was very manipulative and only friendly when we were talking money. I also noticed the turnover rate for the staff seemed abnormally high. I will never recommend this facility in the future.

St. Charles Care Center has both cottages and inside facilities. The staff just went out of their way, particularly Michelle, she has followed up with me. She had just taken a personal interest. The environment was wonderful. In fact, I think that may end up being where we go. Everybody was so friendly and they all looked like they were involved in some kind of activity. It was just very welcoming.

We do in-home non-medical care for others. I moved two of my clients to St. Charles. It is a Catholic facility and they are run by sisters. I'm very familiar with this place. They have excellent food there. They offered independent living and assisted living, so they have a number of activities. When two of my clients wanted to make a move, we recommended St. Charles. They are convenient to the families because both of those families were within a mile where St. Charles is.

My brother-in-law is in St. Charles. He seems to be happy there. He is being fed. He is getting his medicine. It seems to be a clean place. He seems to feel like his room is fine. He has a microwave there. He has his breakfast delivered to him every morning. Then he goes to the dining room for his other meals. He feels good about that. The grounds are nice. He is very shy and not very social. I think they have buses that go to the local store, and he does that one. It is a religious place. So, he goes to Mass every Sunday. Other than that, I do not think he is doing anything else. I think the place has other activities, but he has not participated. It is in a suburban, middle-class neighborhood. I meet other people who are there, and they are satisfied there.

We picked St. Charles Care Center mostly because my mom and dad really felt like it was home. We grew up Catholic, and it has a strong with the Sisters of Notre Dame. For activities, they have bingo, social nights, and movie nights, and they have masses. You can go to spiritual readings and book readings. My parents haven't moved in yet, but when you walk in, you could tell it was so much like home. We were able to stay for lunch, and the food was excellent. It was very, very good.

I like St Charles Care Center very much. They have very nice assisted living, and they're a little more affordable than the other facility. I'll probably end up there if they have an opening for me. I met a couple of people that live there, and they seemed to really like it. The apartments, the villas, and the cottages were very nice. The appointments of them were very nice. The other facility was my favorite, but St. Charles comes very close to second. What I like about this place was that they're affordable. They really seemed to take care of their properties. It was very pretty. They seemed to have a lot of activities.

We chose St. Charles Homestead for my husband, and it was an excellent facility. They have excellent level of care. They have beautiful surroundings. It was well run, and I would highly rate this facility. The rooms were spacious, clean, easily accessible for wheelchair or walker. We liked it a lot. The help was lovely. The food is excellent.
