Sunrise of Lenexa looks very nice and very attractive. It smells great when you walk in the door. It smells like freshly baked bread. The staff is friendly. A nurse called me several times regarding mom's medication issues, but that's not the facility's problem. Mom has two little rooms and it's very nice. It's enough for her. The bathrooms are accommodating. There's periodically contact with the doctor.

We went to Sunrise of Lenexa. It's very attractive, very clean, and it just seems like, it would be a good place. Unfortunately for us, they didn't have a one-bedroom available, they only had a studio, which was not going to be large enough. They provide a sink, refrigerator, and a microwave. The staff was very accommodating, understanding, and very informative. I thought she did a good job.

I toured Sunrise of Lenexa. I wasn't impressed with the environment. I wasn't overly impressed with the staff. The rooms were OK. They had common areas that were similar to others.

Sunrise of Lenexa was very nice. The rooms were very nice. The building has been there a while, but not long. It's fairly new. They had like a coffee bar that the residents could go to. It was very nice, it was very open, and it seemed to be pretty well laid out.

My mother-in-law moved into Sunrise of Lenexa. She's in their assisted living. We chose it because of its location and the grounds were nice. They had a wide range of care. She wanted a care that's not a nursing home, but kind of a max assisted living. She wanted a kind of environment that was more of a home environment. Everything's neat and clean and has a secure entry. It's not a brand-new unit but it has a nice courtyard and it's right next to a park so it's very nice. We haven't taken advantage of all that, but I think every day at 10:00, they have a chair exercise class. There seems to be a lot going on. The management teams, and the upper-level people, have all been great. The daily caregivers though, we don't have a good read on that yet. The head nurse, the manager we worked with upon entry, and the one that arranges the care, all those people have been great. We are just a couple of days in so we haven't had a lot of experience with daily care.

Sunrise of Lenexa was really nice. The staff was extremely friendly and very informative. They had an art class, and an exercise class, which I saw when we were there.

Sunrise of Lenexa was extremely nice. The staff we talked to was extremely helpful and excellent. However, we ascertained very quickly that they would not have the level of care that we were looking for and that they were very expensive, and outside of my parents' budget. Still, the staff spent an additional 45 minutes helping us narrow down some other opportunities. They have a hair care beauty salon available and numerous dining facilities. It was very pleasing, relatively new, well-kept, very clean, and professional. I was impressed.

I decided against Sunrise of Lenexa because there's a lot of bad traffic around there. It's a busy place that's not convenient, but otherwise it was very nice inside. They were having a singer downstairs and people at the memory care upstairs were having popsicles and snacks when I was there. The rooms were clean and everything looked good. The facility was very nice. People downstairs in the assisted living seemed happy and upstairs seemed fine, too. However, memory care people don't really get to benefit from some of the things that come into the facility. It was like they're away from the rest of the place.

Sunrise of Lenexa was very nice and would've been our top choice. The location next to the park was very nice. My father is very active, and it looked like there were lots of activities in the community. He would have plenty of opportunities to get out and look around. It's a little bit out of the area where we live, but it appeared to be very well run and very organized. There were quite a few people out and about at the main corridor, and we liked that because Dad tends to be a little bit socially isolated, and we were looking for some place that had people milling around and such. They gave us a little loaf of bread to bring home and a little snack cake and that was nice, but we did not eat there.

my family member recently was a resident at sunrise and it was a horrible experience the cna's on the memory care were very rude they never would answer call lights when paiged. They also were very unatentive I would go to visit my family member and there would be multiple residents on the floor from falling. So please beware if you go to this facility it looks great on the outside but the actual care is not worth the money at all. They also had a case of bed bugs on their memory care so please beware when selecting a home for your family

My husband moved into Sunrise of Lenexa. I chose for the setting and the feel of the facility. It is close to a park and there are walking trails. It is has a homey feeling. The person that we met there is extraordinary. My husband watches TV. The staff is very approachable, very easy to talk to, and very accommodating. They bend over backwards to do whatever we need. The head nurse and all of the other people there go out of their way to make my husband comfortable. They serve three meals a day and have an in-house doctor.

Sunrise of Lenexa is where I decided to place my mother. Everyone is friendly, and the room is close to the elevator, the dining room, and the whirlpool bath. The food is excellent and prepared by chefs. They have special music performances, watch movies, have activities to honor veterans, and there’s a beauty shop. I'm happy with Sunrise, so far.

Sunrise of Lenexa is very nice but very expensive. The staff are wonderful. My sister and brother like the food being served to them. The reason why we chose this facility is because it is very near their children’s house.

My mother fell and broke her ankle. She has been in Sunrise of Lenexa since the end of March, and she is going to be there indefinitely. The staff is excellent, and they're doing what they can -- no problems at all. They do arts, finger painting, exercises, visiting musicians, and sing-alongs. They keep her pretty busy. For what it is, I'm happy with that.

My dad had lived in Sunrise of Lenexa for his assisted living until the time he fell. He was there for six months. They employed people who really care about their patients. The food is good. The facility is well maintained. They have some flaws and really there's no place that gets a perfect 5. Even if I were caring for my dad in my own home I wouldn't give myself a 5 because we are all human and we make mistakes and get tired, but I thought their promises at the beginning during the sales part of things were really followed through. I thought they did a good job of giving what they said they could give.

Sunrise was very nice. They have flexible terms. If you needed a short-term stay or a longer term stay, you could tailor the services to meet the need, therefore the pricing structure was nice. They didn't have that many activities. They have an activity room, and they have yoga. My mom is doing great now, but it's our top choice if we need to move my mom.

Sunrise was beautiful but they were doing some constructions at that time. The rooms were real nice and clean. Everything about it was sufficient. I ended up not taking it though because it was expensive.

Mom loves it at Sunrise of Lenexa. They made her feel needed, wanted and valuable as a person. They treat their people with dignity. The food and activities are fantastic. They take them out on the bus. Today, she is going on a scenic tour. Her room is always very clean, very well kept and trash is emptied everyday at 3. It does not smell. They have a wonderful menu. They had a Halloween party and residents gave candy out to little children that came and trick or treated, which was fun.

Everything they did at Sunrise was great. Even at the end because my father ended up dying there, they were just tremendous. They loved him and he loved them the whole time. He was 95 and it was a challenge for him being in a place like that but the staff was more accommodating and always kept me informed if there were any changes on his medication. They were very good about all that stuff.

The Sunrise of Lenexa assisted living facility was recommended by a friend in the region as an option for our aunt. The outside area resembled a well maintained condo building. The interior design was lovely with gorgeous views throughout. There was bright light everywhere. From sight seeing to nature walks and cultural events, Lenexa has a lot to offer in and around its community. The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The staff often takes residents on many outings into region to enjoy all that it has to offer. For exercise, the residents enjoy yoga and aerobics classes, sometimes held outdoors. Seniors are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible. The dining areas offered the kind of food that you would find in a four star restaurant. The meal we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets. Residents may eat in the dining room or cook for themselves. Private units featured beautifully decorated surroundings, all with beautiful views. Each had a great deal of natural light and fresh air, through large windows. Each unit was equipped with what the residents needed to live well. They offer a range of care for Alzheimer's, short term and respite care, so that they can easily adjust their services for residents as needed. The seniors appeared content here, with just the amount of care and attention they needed in a lovely senior living community.
