Life Care Center of Valparaiso

My father-in-law was at Life Care Center of Valparaiso. He came in in bad shape. He was in Michigan at another facility, and we were planning his funeral. However, he came down in an ambulance to Life Care Center, and these guys brought him back to life. They were amazing. They were very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. Everything we needed was taken care of. He loved it. They had choices of meals for them to make with every meal. My father-in-law could decide what he wanted, which was great, and that was the main thing for him. The place inside looked a little tired, a little busy, and a little smaller because it's not new with high ceilings and stuff. So, I would say the appearance insight could use a little help. Nevertheless, the value for money was excellent. The care services were amazing. They took care of him. I absolutely would recommend them.

My husband was at Life Care Center of Valparaiso for rehab. It's kind of an older building. The people were nice. The dining area wasn't very good. That's all I saw about it because his room was right inside the door. The staff was pretty good, and his room was nice. He could have had a roommate, but he didn't. There was another bed in his room. The parking space was wonderful.

I googled rehab centers for my dad and Life Care Center of Valpo came back with great reviews. The evening nurse on the rehab/short term care wing, John, had great reviews. He has more than lived up to the reviews I read. All of the staff have been amazing but John takes it to the next level as far as his nursing abilities, care of the patients and his compassion. I’m so happy we picked this place to care for my dad during his recovery.

My mother is at Life Care Center. It's a good place. We have no problems at all with her being there. She said the food is good. The staff is wonderful, and I deal with them almost every day. It's a great place to go. They take good care of her.
