I am extremely disappointed with this nursing home. When we toured the facility, everything looked clean and professional, and we were reassured that our loved one would be well cared for. Unfortunately, the reality has been the complete opposite. On more than one occasion, my mom has fallen and we were not notified. There was no immediate call and no urgency about contacting an ambulance. That is completely unacceptable and that trust has been broken. It’s frustrating to see nurses sitting at the desk eating or socializing while residents appear to need attention. When I requested clean sheets and bedding, I was given the code to the supply closet and expected to handle it myself. On multiple days, I was told the person in charge wasn’t in the office. When I asked for someone else in charge, I was told Same and Crystal were “too busy to be bothered,” which blew my lid.

My husband was at Avalon Springs Health Campus. He was there on two different occasions. It's a five all the way around. They were absolutely wonderful. The facility was very clean. Leadership was very involved. They don't close their eyes to anything. The chef was good, and the food was always hot. The dining room was wonderful, and there were tablecloths on the table every time the meals were served. They encourage the residents to participate in activities like happy hour on Fridays, they bring in great artists to entertain on Fridays, and they had Bingo on Wednesdays. The CNAs were just phenomenal. When you put your light on the maximum time you wait for them to take care of you was 10 minutes. I did not have to be there with my husband at all. I'd go every evening just to go and have dinner with him. They knew my desires, how I liked him to be taken care of, and it didn't take them long to learn them. They have assisted living, the rehab section, the memory care section, and long-term care.
