"Autumn Green is very nice. For the dependent senior, it is right. The staff was very nice. Everything was very nice. It's just it's not the right fit for my mother. It may, however, be a good fit for my aunt, who needs assisted living. I saw the exercise group, and I saw the fitness center. When I went, I saw them having lunch. I was able to see their community room. I thought it was an excellent location for people who need assisted living. I was impressed with it. It's a pretty nice area. It has its challenges, but I would feel safe in Autumn Green. "

"We visited both independent and assisted living at Brookdale Glen Elyn. I like that they had a lot of activities, and the room I saw was very clean and large. If somebody is active, they have a pool, lots of outings, and a nice dining room. The person who gave us the tour was friendly and knowledgeable."

"We have selected a place to move to. The top of our list is Franciscan Village. We are moving to what they call a garden home half a block away from the main building, so it's just a short walk. In the main building, they have a large dining room, a snack bar, workout facilities, and a library. We are able to live independent with a 2-bedroom apartment. It's what we were looking for. The staff bends over backwards to take care of you. Franciscan Village is a Catholic community. They have their own chapel, and along with that, they do have some of the nuns living right there near the people so they can associate with each other. I find that very relaxing. They're pretty filled up with activities for everybody. "

"We were about to move into Brookdale Lisle when all of this happened so we had to cancel it. It's a large place and has over 300 apartments, and it's very well kept. A lot of it is shut down because of COVID, and they're in the middle of renovating some things like the gift shop and ice cream shop. As a whole, we picked this place because we liked it best. The person, Diana, who gave me the tour was very helpful, accommodating, and very nice. We saw some residents in little groups doing some kind of exercise but with social distancing. Not a lot was going on because a lot of the facilities in this place were closed."

"I was very impressed with Autumn Green. The location was convenient. The employees were really great, readily available, and showed us everything. The only problem for my brother was that he couldn't afford it. They had crafts and an indoor pool. "

"I toured Clarendale Six Corners for my uncle. It's convenient. They seem to care, and that he's going to get the care that he needs. It seemed like a nice place. The staff was very friendly, very informative, and caring. The facility was brand-new. The size of the room was adequate and seemed to have a positive atmosphere."

"Victorian Village was very beautiful, very clean, and the layout was good. The people were very nice, and the staff is attentive, concerned, and genuinely interested in the welfare of the people. There is Wii bowling, bingo, and movies, and the location is very convenient. "

"My mother is at American House Oak Park. I like the facility. It's newer and has pretty state of the art amenities. It's got a beautiful city vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive. They're there 24/7. There's a registered nurse on staff, so it's not just CNAs. The community is exceptionally clean and inviting. It's very modern. It really looks like a very high-scale hotel. In fact, the seventh floor has a view of downtown with an outdoor patio. It is like high-rise living. So, if you are coming from a home or a suburb, it's a different vibe for you. It has seven floors. It's jarring if you're not used to it, but it's beautiful for sure. We did a family event on Wednesday and people came in with their families and had a taste of food from around the world. Then the band came in and played. It was lovely. There was an introductory offer to get in, and the rate we're in now is amazing. Once the introductory rate goes up, it will go up and be more in line with how much you would pay to be in this type of facility. It really is beautiful and lovely and all the things. They had sitting pods and people were there with their families. You really feel like you're on vacation."

"We talked to a representative at The Clare, had lunch, and visited a couple of apartments, which were very nice. The dining area was quite good, and they had a garden, which was a place to sit. They have people who can come in, or they have intensive care out of the apartment. "

"I would say that Belmont Village Senior Living Lincoln Park was the one that we felt most highly about. My relative would likely go there, but it is expensive or he felt it was expensive. We looked at the assisted living. The meals are in the dining room. They have housekeeping, and they have a variety of activities that are organized. They have a studio apartment (which to me seems small), but they also have apartments that have a bedroom and a living room. I liked those much better, but of course those are more expensive."

"Friendly, helpful staff, clean building, with some areas' newly remodel. They should continue to remodel as money is available. Chapel; is beautiful, love the birds in meeting areas. It would be preferred if small pets allowed or have a social service dog. "

"We toured for my aunt and uncle, and I love this place for myself. They've probably been there three years. I like the newer models, the decor, and everything was new and more modern. They have those doors on wheels, they say they're on HDTV, they have the bathroom with the barn door, and it was beautiful. The staff who gave the tour was very, very nice. The facility itself is beautiful."

"Marian Village was expensive, but the whole atmosphere, the staff, the graciousness, and the beauty was what I like the most about the whole environment. They have lots of activities, the food is delicious; they serve one meal a day. I would recommend them although it’s a buy-in facility. "
