"Mountain Meadows is a subsidized senior housing and was a very nice facility. The rooms are very reasonable and about percent less than other rentals here. It is for those with restricted income. They have a reading room and lovely kitchens with dining areas that can be used by residents for parties and things. Each unit is one bedroom and is self-contained. I seriously considered moving there but it meant significant downsizing. The staff seemed very kind and I knew a lot of people who moved there. "

"The Village at Redlands is nice. I liked it. The one I didn't like is, it's like a dorm where you have to walk in through a hallway to get into your apartment. But other than that, it's nice. They showed us a two-bedroom, it's nice, the rooms are a good size, it has two bathrooms, and that's what we like. The only thing I didn't like was the electric stove. The staff was excellent. They have like a little park, it's nice sitting, and they have a theater in there for the people that live there."

"I like The Village at Redlands. It's a very quiet place. I could hardly see people in the hallway. They're all seniors, and they're older than me. The compound is located in a distant neighborhood. That's one thing I like about it. I noticed some areas are close to a town or stores. Sometimes I don't like it close to the neighboring areas. Generally, I like the environment at The Village at Redlands. Before I spoke with the manager, I had already checked the place out. I said, "I like this place." It's a two-story building, and it's built like a hotel. They have what they call cottages. They're duplexes, but they look like single-family homes. That's also for rent for seniors like me. They cost more, but they're real houses. They have a front yard taken care of by the management. They have a two-car garage. I like it. So, when I met with the manager, there was only one vacant, which is why I rushed in and took it. It has a security gate. It has glass doors. It has a PIN code. I like the way it looks. This does't really have a staff because it's independent living. There's one person who works in the office. The office is separated from the main building. There is also a staff that cleans and takes care of the area. They don't clean where we live. They will clean it if we request it, and we have to pay for it."

"The staff at Plymouth Village were very good and helpful. It's rated one of the best in the country. It's closer to downtown and a very inviting facility. They offer lots of activities. They have outside activities where people or couples can partake. I looked at a one bedroom residential unit and it's very large, spacious, clean, and very modern. It was very, very nice. The only downside of this facility is the cost. It's very expensive and I think that might be a hindrance to some people moving there, "

"We put in a credit application at Vintage at Kendall, but my daughter was denied. The visit was great. The property was well kept up, and the people were very nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The grounds and the amenities were very nice. I remember they had a recreation room and another room where they played pool. They had a pool outside, a barbecue area, and garages that you could rent. "

"Linda Valley Villa is overall good. It's always clean and well-kept, and my parents are happy living there. The staff is satisfactory. My mother attends daily fitness exercise class and she also tries to attend arts and crafts, but according to her, once or twice that she went, the class was not being held for whatever reason, so it doesn't seem to be very consistent."

"We toured Fairway Senior Living for Independent Living. The lady said someone recently bought it about a year ago, and they're doing renovations there, and that's okay. It's going through renovations, so it looks a little run-down. The lady who took us around and the staff that I spoke with were nice. It felt more of a convalescent type to me. The second my sister and I drove up, we didn’t even walk into the facility yet. She parked in one area, I parked in another, we looked at each other and both said, ‘Absolutely not.’" I saw their dining area; it looked like folding tables. They did have staff, and they're helping people. It was nothing compared to the other place, which looked like a fine dining restaurant. This place looked like it had tables and chairs. My sister and I asked the people there. I asked one of the ladies who was eating there. Is that good? She's like, "So delicious, and yesterday we made pasta." We had an Italian night yesterday. I said, "Oh, amazing.""

"We will be moving into Jess Ranch. Our main reason for choosing Jess Ranch is more financial, but the amenities were very nice. We will have a single-family home with two-bedroom, two-bath, and two-car garages. I can walk from my garage into my house. It's just ideal. They have a clubhouse, yoga classes, and other kinds of classes. They have a swimming pool and a lake where we can go fishing."

"Loma Linda Springs is a very good facility. The place is cheap and we already good an apartment. We're moving in about less than three weeks. The place is really kept clean. The maintenance crew is always out. The staff seems to be pretty good. I see them attending to the residents. They were nice to us. "

"Magnolia at Highland is okay, but it has many rules and regulations. When you get old you're tired of rules and regulations. The room is very clean and the people get along well. You do your own cooking because it’s not assisted living. You do your own cleaning unless you have a caregiver. It’s a no smoking facility. You have to go to the sidewalk if you wanted to smoke, which is good. They have potlucks and birthday celebrations every month -- they do a lot of things for the seniors. They have a card club, swimming pool, and a recreation room that we exercise in. They've also got a barbecue grill. "

"I liked High Desert Villas. The staff was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about the questions we asked. We chose it for my husband's sister. It's clean, well cared for, convenient, and very accessible to stores, hospitals, and urgent cares. There's a van for appointments that will take you to the doctor and the dentist. It's easy to get extra help to come in like if you needed assistance with your grocery shopping. Visitors are welcome. They had a pool, a spa, activities, a really nice community room, and most of the parking places are covered. They had a lot of one story if you don't want to go up to two story, and they had one- and two-bedrooms. It's a nice place and very affordable. The staff members remember you in a day. You cook your own food there."

"I went to Sierra Vista Independent & Assisted Living. The staff was very helpful. She gave me a very nice tour. They had some detached two duplexes, which I thought would work out very well for my stepbrother, but I would not call it a good neighborhood at all. Right across the street was a mobile home park. There was a gentleman out on the road working on a ratty old motor home with music blaring, and I just did not feel that would be a neighborhood to put my stepbrother. The meals were provided there. They had laundry rooms, an exercise room, and a game room."
