Senior Suites of West Humboldt Park have regular studios, larger studios, and a few one-bedrooms. I saw a one-bedroom and a larger studio, and they're both nice. They offer a four-burner stove and a full-sized refrigerator. The person who showed me around was good. The facilities were very nice.

They did not make necessary repairs to avoid mold. Mice infestation. Staff entered my apartment without permission while I was not home and while I was home and undressed. They tell me I don't own the apartment. But they can't understand that the apartment is my home, and they don't have the right to enter my home without permission.

I toured Senior Suites of West Humboldt Park, and that was in a bad neighborhood, and it didn't feel very safe. There's a lot of broken-down buildings nearby, torn up buildings, but this building was OK. It could have been cleaner; there was trash on the elevator, but the lady that gave me the tour was very nice. She said that there's people that are supposed to clean up, but I guess they had not cleaned up. She was apologetic and everything. She showed me two apartments and they were unfinished. She said they were doing work, and they tore up the kitchen. She showed me one that was finished, somebody had just moved in, it was OK. To me, that building was a little bit dark. I can't explain it, but there was not a lot of light in the hallways and stuff. They had parking, and I think she said she showed me an exercise place where they had bikes where you could exercise.

Senior Suites of West Humboldt Park is beautiful. The apartments and the buildings are very clean and well kept. The community is quiet and secure. They take the residents without transportation to do grocery shopping. They have a popcorn night, church service and bible study, bingo several times a month, and keno. There are a lot of activities here.

It was very good. The staff were very cooperative and very helpful. The one-bedroom apartment -- as you walk in the door -- had the kitchen to the left, and to the right was a huge storage area. In front of you, they had the living and dining area, and then they had the bedroom to the right, with two separate big closets. At that time, they didn't have meals there. They did have an exercise room and a computer room. They had bingo, and they go to different places. They should have meals served there. That would be a great help to some of the elders that were there. I would recommend Senior Suites of West Humboldt Park.
