"I like the staff at Truewood by Merrill, Boise. The building is clean and well-kept. I don't have any negatives to say. The staff members are very good to my mother. The building's structure is in good shape. They have bingo and happy hour where people from the community come in and play live music. My mother's room is a studio and it's fine. It's very friendly."

"My husband moved to Overland Court Senior Living. They are very clean. Walking through, I can see them taking care of the other patients. They're just very caring. They're watchful. They came right away when we came in and introduced themselves to my husband. The cool thing they did was they put a big poster on his door that said welcome home, and all of the nurses signed it and wrote something. That was sweet. It's very pretty. The rooms are very nice. I like the fact that the rooms don't have a shower, they just have a half bath and a shower room."

They were very thorough and answered lots of questions, the employees there looked very happy. The facility was clean and updated, and it was located close to restaurants and close enough to hospitals."

"I toured Foxtail Senior Living. When I was there yesterday, the people there were having lunch. It was a restaurant-style environment. The people seemed like they were having a good time. They have an ice cream parlor where all-you-can-eat ice cream, fruit snacks, and stuff 24 hours a day for the residents. I thought that place was outstanding. I looked at two different kinds of rooms, their standard room and their deluxe standard room. I thought the standard room had a door that goes to the outside. So, they have a private patio out there. They had nice storage areas and cabinets inside the room. The bathrooms were very spacious and the walk-in showers. The deluxe did not have a door going outside, but it was much more spacious, and I thought they were both very nice rooms. It looks pretty new, and I think the upkeep and maintenance were very good."

"My dad moved into Avista Nampa and he stayed there until his passing. We were very impressed with everything there. The help that they have, the management, they were excellent. They took great care of our dad. The facility is very clean. We had absolutely no complaints. They had a nice dining area. They had structured meals and had a place for people to gather at the tables. They've got a room where they can go and do crafts. They had people come in and kids were there."

"I toured. They have a library, an exercise room with some guidance from exercise directors, they have equipment there for exercising, a beauty shop, a greenhouse on the premises, which I was very interested in, card games, and puzzle tables on every floor. Anybody can put a puzzle up if they wish to. The room has a kitchen area, whether you get a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom. I haven't decided on that yet, but there was plenty of room for one or even two people. What I was excited about was the outdoor little patio area where you could go outside and have a table and sit and eat if you want to, or just have a cup of coffee, and it's screened as well so that you can leave a door open and get fresh air in, even if you stayed in your own house or apartment."

"Our experience with Autumn Wind in Caldwell, Idaho was excellent. From our first visit through the length of stay of our mother we felt welcomed and valued. The attention and care provided was beyond what we expected. Mom loved her room, her friends, her caregivers, the activities and the food. She was always clean, dressed and involved with activities and caregivers. At her passing the caregivers were attentive to her needs and extremely compassionate. We would highly recommend Autumn Wind in Caldwell, Idaho as an option for senior living and memory care needs."

"About 6 months ago I taught a middle school leadership class. I had the child write cards and pick flowers to bring the residents of the Life Care Center of Boise. When we arrived the facility appeared top-notch. The Children were nervous at first but once they started talking to the amazing residents they really started having a great time. A few of the residents started crying because they were so happy to have a visitor and someone to talk to. All in all it was an amazing experience for the students, the residents, and me as well. I absolutely recommend the Life Care Center of Boise, to care for your loved ones. "

"My sister and brother-in-law are at The Bridge at Valley View assisted care. The place is wonderful, very clean, and very nice. I like that it's centrally located for their children so it's easy to access for them. I also like just the friendliness of the place, the care that they get, and the cleanliness of it. It's also quite beautifully appointed. For activities, they have everything. There are all kinds of games going on as well as exercise classes. They have physical therapists that help them with their needs and an in-house doctor. I've had lunch with them several times and the food is delicious. They're very expensive but compared to the other places that I have looked at, they're about right in the range of what everyone is charging. My sister and brother-in-law's apartment is very nice. They depend quite a bit on the staff's help for their activities and their needs are met nicely."

"Garden Plaza of Valley View was very clean. It was a fine upscale location. You have a kitchenette, but the kitchenette is not a hot plate, but there's a microwave and a refrigerator. The unit we looked at was a one-bedroom with a sitting room adjacent to it, and what we're looking for my parents, is a little more room. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable. They have a bakery there and we got a choice of what we want at the bakery, which was excellent. There's a very big outdoor space with a horseshoe pit or a barbecue that could be used by families that come in. It's a very well-laid out location."

"I have had friends who have lived here in the past, and a friend who currently lives here. They have always been very happy with this place. In the assisted living area, the apartments are roomy enough with a kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. The common areas are spotless, with very nice amenities, including a grand piano, which the residents can use, and entertainment is frequently provided. There are all levels of care at this facility, including independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, and a nursing home facility, all in the same place, so that as your needs increase, you will not have to go elsewhere. The staff has always been courteous and knowledgeable, and helpful. When I went in to the front desk, and asked which room a particular resident was in, they told me, but they also told me that she was currently in the dining room, to save me a trip up to her apt. The food is amazing! My friend is always raving about it, and inviting me to eat with her. The cost is a little more than some of the other places, but you get what you pay for. They do have busses and/or vans that take you to shopping centers, and/or doctors appointments at certain times."

"Grace Assisted Living at Englefield Green was the first one I went to. The staff toured us and everything. When he was asking questions about this 88-year-old gentleman I'm trying to get into senior living, that's when he found out that he didn't have any rooms from a male. He only has a female room. The only way that he would have a room for a male was if two women left at the same time because there's two women in per a room. Other than that, everything was beautiful there. It was really nice. It was comfortable to sit there, relax, and all that. I went to the memory care, but this gentleman can't go there. They couldn't take him there. Everybody was very nice and friendly. They invited us to sit down and have coffee while we waited for the director. It was really nice. They were on time; they weren't late. Everybody seemed pleasant. I did not their food, but it really looked good. It was very tempting. They had an elegant dining room, and it was set up really nice."
