We moved mom to Ashley Manor Senior Living this month. The executive director really had a handle on getting Medicaid set up. The building is beautiful. The outside area is terrific. They have activities and a library. They encourage socialization, which is really important to my mom. I really haven't met the nursing staff, but I've met the executive director and the activities director. They have a camera on all the hallways to show kind of what's going on. They really seem to be on top of things. She doesn't have any teeth, but they're still trying to work with her and find food that she can easily chew and eat. They're working on it at least. She hasn't complained about the taste or anything. They have bingo and a library, and she loves to read. They have a social area where they have movie nights. They take them out of the facility for tours at times. For assisted living, they have a lot of good activities for socialization. Her room is very large with a huge closet. They have a little refrigerator for her and a microwave if she wants it. The bathroom and shower are in the room. Right now, they take her to a shower room because she can't walk yet. She'll be able to take her showers in her room once she gets a little bit stronger. Everything is just set up very nicely. There is lots of light in the room, and it's very well kept up.

I'm not saying the staff doesn't care for their clients but one staff member to provide full care for 9 individuals with dementia, as well as preparing meals & snacks, cleaning/housekeeping, laundry, etc, makes it improbable that any one person gets the care they need, deserve & are paying a great deal of money for. Putting people in front of a TV with movies that no Senior person would ever want to watch & often times so loud it hurt my ears (& I have hearing loss). No communication between staff members, with family or their so called "management". My family member was never given proper oral care, ( the same 1/2 tube of toothpaste & full box of denture cleaning tablets I took in upon admission were still intact over a year later when my loved one passed away), never had their eyeglasses on, ended up basically crippled & repeatedly had large bruises all over, that no-one could explain. Personal items constantly came up missing and/or were used on/for other residents. Residents were often wondering into places they shouldn't be, while the singular staff member was on their cellphone, in the restroom or taking a smoke break outside if the facility. These facilities constantly have their "Help Wanted" signs out. Small wonder. Management of these facilities is a faceless mystery person who never seems to be available, especially if there is an issue. Recordkeeping is a joke. My family member ended up with a pharmacy bill in the thousands because the facility kept filling meds that had been cancelled before I ever had to put my loved one in memory care. I had no choice but to leave my loved one where they were. The only good thing I can say is it only took a year and a half before my beloved family member passed away.

The rooms are constantly messy and spell really bad like urine My grandmother has complained the food is never fully cooked and got sick several times Caregivers have been leaving my Grandmother soaked in her diapers and every visit she cries and complains I plan on moving her into a more professional facility. And one who cares more about their Clients other then their paychecks

I have visited Ashley Manor Senior Living. The place was nice and clean. I took my grandchildren there to sing at Christmas time and the people were very open and friendly. There's a Mormon church nearby.

My friend moved into Ashley Manor. She is in their assisted living section in a memory care unit. It's great. They're very nice, there are large rooms, and they all have private bathrooms. I like it because it's a larger facility. They take care of her pills, she has three meals a day, they have Bingo, they have exercises and they have all sorts of things that she can participate in and do. They have a garden they can plant in and lots of grass and a patio. It's in a residential area but the hospitals are only five minutes away. The pricing is very good. It's bland food, but it's OK. They have choices of three different things at meals, which is nice.
