I'm looking for independent living in the low income range. There was a place I looked at in Tampa. It was called the Baptist Tower. It looked to be something that would be affordable for me. It had a bedroom, and things were nice. Every time somebody moves in or out, they bring in a new stove or refrigerator. That really is one of the biggest one I've seen. They had like cards and doing things in the library. They had dinners once a week or a special one once a month. You are able to have dinner there if you wanted to or you could cook in your own unit. If I have to find one weak thing, it would be that they have a community laundry facility. It didn't have a washer and dryer in the unit, but what can you expect for that kind of money?

Palm Avenue was good for people who didn't need a lot of assistance because they could still show their independence. They had their own apartment, which was a big sized room with a living area, a bedroom, bathroom and a little kitchenette area. The only thing that the staff had to do was to lead the activities and assist them with the medication. They were very helpful. So, if you had someone who were in their late 70s or early 80s who wanted to live alone and does not had a lot of issues that would be good for them because they could still have their independence.
