Our experience with The Princess Martha has been very good. It's a beautiful establishment and it's very clean and well-kept. Everybody that works there is very nice. They have three meals a day, a heated swimming pool, happy hour, they have a physical therapy room, and a doctor that comes every week. There are lots of places for sitting, reading, and relaxing. They have a lot of activities there, but my mother has not participated in any yet.

I am moving into The Princess Martha. I liked that it is affordable and I liked that I can have a very spacious private apartment by myself. The staff that I met was very pleasant. They had a pool, they would provide 3 meals a day, and they would do bi-weekly housekeeping. The dining area looked very nice. They had a garden community that did most of the gardening work around the pool and much of the flower arrangements inside.

Staff very compassionate and helpful. Rooms: it depends on where it’s located. Housekeeping comes every 2 weeks to clean. Trips to stores and restaurants. Bus to doctors’ appointments on Tuesdays We enjoy bingo, wii bowling, yoga, exercise. Lovely pool with water aerobics on Wednesdays.

I visited The Princess Martha two years ago. It was a very friendly community and the staff was very knowledgeable. We stayed for lunch and the food was excellent. The location was very convenient to everything and we just loved the place.

My brother is in The Princess Martha. It is safe, secure, has a caring staff, and it served its purpose. We got lucky with his room because the previous resident customized the apartment. We have all bamboo flooring and some built in cabinets. I have tasted the food. My brother is very complimentary on the food and says that it's very tasty and more than plentiful. They have a list of opportunities when it comes to activities. They are very thorough and serious about COVID precautions. It's a very old place. It was originally an elegant hotel, so that's their history, and they maintained it well.

I enjoyed my seasonal stay. There were several floor plans to chose from and the management team went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. It is an historic community and well-maintained. The activity calendar is full 7 days a week. Transportation took me all over town for free. The heated pool was a plus during the cold. The staff are all so kind. Upper management always had smiles on their faces and also did activities with us. Happy Hour dancing was always a hoot. I'll be back. Perfect location.

The Princess Martha was great, but it is just independent living, so it really doesn't offer anything if your condition gets worse, which bothers me. They've done a great job keeping the building up with the period that it was built, with the decor and all that. It's really a very fascinating place. It's a historic building and it has the ambience of the 1920s. It was a hotel in the 1920s. It's attractive, but it's dark in there, and the hallways where the rooms are were narrow and dark. I was not crazy about the food, but it was well served. It was a lovely dining room, which used to be a ballroom, and it was lovely to look at, but I did not find the food appetizing. They had a lot of choices, but I wasn't taken with it. The location is close to art museums and the downtown Saint Petersburg culture, which is artsy and historic. The activities director was great, very charming, very informative, and attractive. For somebody who can do independent living, it's good.

This facility is a real community. The staff treat residents with respect. They know residents' names, remember their preferences and take time to listen to them.

My mom lived at The Princess Martha. Her room had some issues with water leaking that damaged the plaster, and it took time to repair. She wasn't happy with the food. Some of the staff was very good, and some were not as good. My mom enjoyed the happy hours, and they did shopping trips. It was in close proximity to downtown so that's one advantage.

The Princess Martha is a 70- or 90-year-old hotel that was converted into a retirement community. It is right in downtown St. Petersburg, so you have access to a lot of restaurants if you wanted to go somewhere else to eat, which is always nice. But like most downtown areas in big cities, it is not safe to walk around at night. They didn’t have any other place to eat besides the dining room. It was not great. It is an old, rundown building, and the elevators don’t work too well.

Really a true disappointment! Massive water damage from aging window sills leaking down the apartment walls. large areas of wall to wall carpet missing from airconditiining units being removed. Maintance on the building is a massive issue. Thief is an issue in the apartments. Cleanliness is an issue in areas. Sorry to say I've had personal issues with a loved living at this faulty. I just hope your loved one doesn't have to experience this!

I liked The Princess Martha so much, and I'm moving into it in about 2 months. The place is more convenient for my family. The location is within blocks of many shops and restaurants. There's the concert hall and a huge park right across the street. It has all the wonderful things that a city offers. It is right in the middle of downtown of Saint Petersburg. The first time I ate there, the food was iffy. But I had lunches and other dinners there, and it was acceptable. As for the activities, I guess it's OK. There are many people to walk with and have meals with, and if you don't like one person, there are 200 others. They have 3 sizes of units for the same price, so it makes sense to go for the biggest unit. I went into the biggest unit, and it was kind of dark, but it was OK. Then the manager said, they had the middle sized room available, and it was a corner unit with windows; I walked in and loved it immediately. It had lots of lights with a better layout, and it was so beautiful.

I went to Princess Martha in St. Petersburg. I didn’t like it at all. When you walk in there, there is a musty smell because it is such an old place, so I didn’t like that. We had dinner there, which was very good. Everything was dark and musty-smelling. I just didn’t like that.

I lived at the Princess Martha for 3 years. Their food was very good. It’s a smaller place and it’s an old hotel so it’s elegant. It’s right down town Saint Petersburg so it’s very easy to walk around and see all the stores. They have a swimming pool and they have card games. They do health things like tai-chi. The staff is better than average but not fantastic. They’re mostly single rooms; they have some 2-bedrooms but they’re not very large.

Princess Martha is where my husband is going. His brother is mentally challenged so we have to take care of him. The beauty is that Princess Martha is going to put 2 units together and a walkway between the 2 units so that he would be in sight of us all the time. It would be an extended room and that was a big thing that they were doing for us. I saw the pool. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed the day that we were there, they were getting ready to go on a trip to a place on the ocean which we couldn’t go because you fly down one day, you spend the night, you get to see them the next day and then you fly out the next day so you don’t get a whole lot. Two of the residents there came up, introduced themselves and said what a caring community they were and how they looked out for each other which really impressed me.

I have found a place I really want to be at the Princes Martha in St. Petersburg. Everybody is very friendly. I've been there three times now. I've eaten two meals at the table with the newcomers and a couple of "oldcomers" to help you get acquainted. It was very pleasant; I wouldn't be interested if it wasn't. They have small one-bedroom apartments, large one-bedroom apartments, and then they've got the two-bedroom apartments. It is a nine-story hotel, so they have lots of apartments. There's swimming, book clubs, poetry writing, bridge, movies four nights a week, pool activities, and exercise activities.

I went to The Princess Martha. I really felt very happy to be there, but the fact that it was so small and moving into such accommodation weren't suitable for me. They weren't big enough. It was like going to live in a hotel. I don't mind at being where it is, and I like the ambience of it, but I did not care for the fact that it was so small and you were like in a hotel room. It was claustrophobic for me. I would enjoy the facility, and I have a girlfriend that would come there in a minute if we have an apartment, but there was no apartment. There were just these small rooms with kitchenettes. We're used to living in style, and that just wouldn't be enough. However, I think that it is a beautiful, healthy atmosphere where people can retain their dignity and dress well, and there is no feeling of age there. I imagine that it is such a comfortable life where people can age very comfortably and very active with beautiful things to do.

The Princess Martha was very nice, clean, and comparatively modern. The price was within range, and that was one of the things that was interesting. It was a lot of an old group type of community, so they do not do too much there.

I did stay in The Princess Martha for three months. The food there was good. They did have happy hours and cooking classes with the chef. What I like about the place was it was close to a library and other places downtown where I could go to flea markets and concerts. The location of the place was more convenient.

Princess Martha was very good. That's a very nice place, but it's very expensive. The location is excellent. The facility is beautiful. It's an old style hotel, like a high class grand hotel. They have a beautiful entrance lobby -- it was very nice looking, well-furnished and well-tended. The people are very nice. We had lunch there and it was excellent food -- it was very gourmet and the service was excellent. The waiters and waitresses served each course separately, not all at the same time. They have yoga; they have water aerobics; they have outings. Everything very elegant, but the price was too much for us. We could not afford that luxury.

I found The Princess Martha for myself. The facility is very, very nice. They take us to the doctors and they also have a doctor and a nurse on-call. They have happy hour twice a week. We have a heated pool and we also have an exercise room.

I liked The Princess Martha because it was a smaller facility. The apartments were smaller but nice with a small kitchenette, dining area and a bath. They had a lot for gardening. They were right across the street from the town's park, so transportation was really close. And since it is downtown, It was not more than a block away from a restaurant. However, it was only an independent living but they had people from another agency who came in and could give help of they needed it.

Food is very good, I had lunch at The Princess Martha. The building is clean and there are no odors or whatsoever. It's close to the farmer's market. They have a beautiful swimming pool. It's an old hotel that's built in the 30's probably. It looks like a lobby in the hotel and it's very attractive. It would do for me and I would be very happy there, I believe.
