This was the one that was closest to us, but it was way out of budget. They actually put a sign out in their lobby that said welcome. We were not able to eat there, but for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they ran off a menu just like a restaurant. They had two entrees for dinner, and if the resident didn't have anything they liked, and they would rather have a hamburger, cheeseburger, or grilled cheese, all they would have to tell them is I'd rather have this instead of that. They were happy to do so. The people are extremely nice. They welcomed us in the lobby there, and they had so many activities for people to go to, which is great for somebody. They had a library there. They even had a puzzle room where you could sit down and do a puzzle. They had a grand piano and religious activities. Overall, I thought it was a very nice place. They have a schedule posted up on a big wall with all the activities for the whole month. Two times a week, they would take the residents out shopping if they wanted to go to Publix, if they wanted to go to Aldi, Walmart, Target, or a place like that. They would have those all set up at a certain time. You're allowed to go in, they give you a certain amount of time to shop, and then you come back out. Those kinds of things were nice. They would make it to doctor appointments, all these things that I guess people are looking for, because most of the people that are there did not have cars.

I am a resident, and I don't feel like I'm in a nursing home. The staff is wonderful. The food is great, but I'm not a big eater, so I don't eat it all the time. The facility is great. They're okay. They offer bingo and ice cream socials. They offer a lot. I'm in an assisted living unit, and I would rather have one that has a bedroom. This is all one room, which I like.
