My grandmother was at Encompass Health. It was extremely clean and nice, had wide hallways, and attentive staff. I had nothing but good marks all the way around. They had between three and four hours of physical therapy each and every day for their patients guaranteed. The place was phenomenal.

Mother in law was here for 2 weeks. Little to no communication. We visited for hours everyday, so we know what went on. Buzzed many times for help with getting her to bathroom. Waited usually between 15 and 30 minutes for anyone answered. By then she was soiled and had to wait to be cleaned up. We were given 48 hours to find a new place for her due to her lack of progress. Argumentative case manager. Dr. really wasn't part of her visits. Therapy was ok but didn't do what they said they were going to do. We could get her to eat, but usually they couldn't. Would not recommend to anyone. She was sent from shands, who was wonderful. This place. Wow

My mother had a really good rehab at Encompass Health. She chose it three times, and this was her third time. Usually, the insurance only covers 14 days. It's not long-term. Mom said she likes the people there and the care. I was there every day. Her room was nice and clean. The bathrooms were big and very accessible for the handicapped. She said they're very caring and loving. They do enough for you. They treat you well. She said the food was good. They let you choose sometimes, too, if you don't like what's on the menu. They have another menu you can choose from. It's very clean. It's not a nursing home; it's a rehab only. They give them puzzles, but they have a gym that they wheel them down to and it's pretty big and nice. They have more equipment than some of the other rehabs.

My partner has stayed in Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala, and it was very good, they've helped him a great deal. The entire staff was very good. We ate at the facility, and we could go and get some stuff and bring it in with us. I think they brought us food a couple of times. I think that his stay was very well worth it. I'm glad he went there, and he had a good deal of therapy, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately, it could only be for two weeks.

I spent 13 days in this facility recovering from major surgery. I cannot say enough about the nursing staff. Especially one nurse in particular named Kelly. If it wasn’t for his smile and positive attitude I don’t think I would have made through as successfully as I did. He was always professional and took time to answer my questions. He made my family feel like they were part of the program as well. I also want to mention the food was fantastic. I’ve never had food this good in a hospital before! Thank you to everyone at Encompass for making one of the worst periods of my life so much better.

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala is an acute rehabilitation hospital. Their entire focus is on rehab and getting you back on your feet, and they're pretty good about that. It's very intense. Their facilities are open and clean, but outside of the rehab department, it's not as good as where my dad is now since they're a little short-staffed. The grounds and facility location are good, clean, and airy. The look and feel is much larger and quarters are probably twice the size of where my dad is now, and it's a newer facility, too. The biggest issue is that the response time for patients who need assistance is kind of slow, so that can be an issue sometimes.
