Fairgreen Assisted Living Facility

My Mom has been here 6 years. The care has been very good, the people who work here care about the residence like their own family. Which is so important for this phase of their life. I have been in other Assisted Living facility with other family members. Some of them are very fancy and decorated like a resort, but the care was not good! Fairgreen is not fancy, but has all the needed amenities to take care of your loved ones, and to put your mind at ease.

I am only concerned

the facility is clean which I guess all facility should be. What we noticed is that facility is understaffed and the lady that do activities told us that it is not a good place to send our mom. One is being understaffed all the time. We did open our mind and talked to the administrator and told us about the facility. We ended up not going there because what lingers in our mind is what the staff had told us. We ended putting our mom at a different assisted living and we are very pleased on their care and treatment.

My Mom has resided at Fairgreen for over two and a half years now and is very comfortable there. All the attendants are attentive to the needs of the residents and treat them like they would their own family. Living close by I'm present there a great deal of time and have seen the conditions and care firsthand. I would not consider moving Mom to another facility as I'm extremely happy with Fairgreen.

I would have given Fairgreen Assisted Living ten stars but five was the highest level possible .Fairgreen has provided the care, support, and love that was lacking in other facilities. My mother lived in several facilities within the Port Orange/New Smyrna area. My intention was to find the best facility possible and never move; I found this in Fairgreen. Unfortunately, that was not our experience in other facilities as some are obviously money driven, over medicated residents, had other residents assist with resident care (yes, that really occurred), would not provide provisions or care plans to reduce falls, or were apathetic to the residents needs. Once Mom moved to Fairgreen, we could both relax for the first time in years. Mom was well cared for by a loving staff, whom Mom loves. The activities are varied and well planned by a wonderful activities director, church services are offered, with delicious, well planned meals. Belle, the director, has been a wonderful support and a wealth of knowledge. When you price other facilities, in addition to the care and love provided, Fairgreen Assisted Living deserves ten stars!

My Mother is a resident and member of the Fairgreen Assisted Living Facility Family for a year and 8 months so far.. The staff is excellent and is so very caring. I know that my Mom is in very capable hands and is very happy there. I would not have my Mom stay in any other facility and the staff has always addressed any concerns or questions that I have. The owner Sue and Manager Bell are the very best and I promise that you will always be treated as family.

I would never recommend this place to anyone, this place is so mismanaged. My grandmother stayed here and due to the lack of care, she fell and ended up in the hospital several times, she was never the same. One of the nurses would argue with her, trying to correct her, she has Alzheimers, can't you just agree with someone and leave it alone, why do you feel the need to anger her by being right?, It is supposed to be a locked facility but my grandmother left several times and they had to go running after her. At the end she was barely eating, she needed help but was not given it, we were told she was dying, we took her out of that place and brought her to another place where they restored her back to health and she was able to enjoy the remaining time in her life with care and love.
