The first assisted living facility I have ever gone to was the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. I honestly did not know what to expect, but I definitely wasn't thinking beautiful d̩cor and a pleasant smelling place. When my family and I stepped into the main building the staff members treated us very nice and seemed eager to help us with anything. The patients seemed to be pretty happy too. After we left the main building we were out on this airy patio which had a nice seating area. We had to wait a bit so I decided to explore. The facility had a hair dresser and I think it had a little gift shop, the whole area was captivating in a way because there was a huge tree and a art piece in the center of everything. It was also nice to see the patients sitting outside talking to one another. It felt as if it was a miniature community.

Unfortunately the residents have 0 activities. A revolving door of employees Very poor cleaning. Food is boring and tasteless Bottom line extremely expensive for what they provide for the care and mental health of the residents.
